Ever since round 1 against Sydney in 2008 where he got like 20 touches, I knew we had a fine player on our hands.

Great to see at least one youngster from the 06-08 drafts coming through!

Next off the ranks - Armo!

Gary Moss from Hawthorn kicked 4 goals from 24 touches and 9 marks...[/quote]

Garry Moss delisted by Hawthorn at end of last year.
Retaken by Hawthorn in the rookie draft at pick 72.

Only 4 expired rookies retaken by their same club, 3 NSW scholarships, Greg Broughton (Fremantle) and Sam McGarry (St Kilda) taken after him.

Every club had a virtual free chance to take him earlier.

Geary is playing some great footy.

Loved the long sleeves, reminded me of Matty Lappin in '97.

That goal he kicked against poor tarded lads, brought back memories of a very young Aussie Jones, hand balling, running past and kicking a goal at full tilt, love this kid!

I'm sorry, you've gone through all the trouble to find out what this actually says and it really is quite insignificant.

Another very good game by the young fella, he really is impressing me...

And to think he slipped through to pick 58 in the rookie draft, unbelieable...

We did so well out of that rookie draft, Jones, Eddy and Geary all regular contributers as well as Attard looking good before injury finished him.

well considering he got 24 possies, 8 marks with only 70% game time, i'd say it was another very solid to great effort from a bloke thats only played 16 games.

i geniunly believe we have a player on our hands, and not too long from now will be considered amongst our "core" players. i do not by mean next week, but i do not mean by 2012 either. i just love this kid, tries hard, very very footy smart and knows how to use the footy. give it sometime, and he will be a genuine gun!

he didnt 'seem' to do as well this week....i didnt 'see' him as much on the tv as i did the other weeks.
does not mean in any way shape or form that he had a lesser game this week.
he was still solid, and i tell ya what the little fella has no prob diving straight into a pack with the noggin down, or running his guts out to tackle and chase.

hopefully he becomes another Lenny for us.....but just kicks more goals :P

again, it was his 16th game and the guy got 24 possessions with 70% game time against a top 4 team. what, do you expect him to play like lenny already???

if i were you id be incredibly happy with that performance. hes a 2nd year player, in a team full of stars. if your expecting him to do anything more than fulfil his role, win his position and not bugger up his kicks, well then your dreaming!

u need to read the post and not presume my tone is negative....

yeah i think he is useless...and i expect him to get to lenny status by next week.
be real.
last few games all i saw on the tube was geary, this week i didnt see him as much...
then i thought i typed:
"does not mean in any way shape or form that he had a lesser game this week."

maybe i didnt....maybe imagined i said that.
the kids gonna be a great player.....and hopefully he 'becomes' another lenny for us.
weird..i have a sense of deja vu

While this may seem strange as I was the one who bumped the post, Geary didn't play as well as last week, his stats were inflated in junk time, however he is playing at a level of consistency at the moment that we would expect from a fifth or sixth year player and he still has a huge upside.

He's fast becoming one of my favourites.
