Ross has a personality! (Before the game)

Post: # 730319Post SaintDebi »

I have to say this is the first time I have actually enjoyed listening to Ross Lyon speak. Not what he has to say, just the way he presents. Nice to see him smiling, laughing and showing a bit of personality. To hark back to an older thread: yes I'm warming to him!

I enjoyed it as well. As an interview I must admit it was very pleasing.

Handled himself very well, great representative for the club.

I want the poster of him they gave to him or at least have that image included on the Saintsational banner...it was a classic!

I haven't always agreed with his tactics, but have always found WHAT he says to be very effective for a coach...just his tone on occasions can be monotone....

IMO his dealing of media has always been a strong point, can't remember a slip up or a controversy

The poster was as Ross Lyon head super imposed on Conan the Barbarian.

He seemed pretty eager to grab that poster and take it home ! I could see him yelling to his wife as he walked through the door "guess what !"

GT described Ross as an introverted fella - the coaching spotlight had obviously taken time to adapt to. With some "advice" from the wife and some greater team success, contract extension etc, its great he is enjoying the ride.

and he got to sit next to Sam Lane.... life can't be all bad.

Its quite easy to smile at the moment., but he media performances are improving. He is speaking a bit quicker and opening up a bit.

I think it's great when someone can laugh at themselves, I thought he took it all very well.
