he is starting to gain the confidence to run the lines. His hands were fanastic, is all class with his skills. That goal was awesome!

Certainly loves that end of the ground at Adelaide. Very good performance, great goal, broke the lines, and showed some toughness.

Yes, he can be nominated. More importantly his form is vindication of RTB's attitude to playing fit footballers from the off.

That's why he's in charge.

I think we have a new G Train. All aboard the Geary Train. Started as a junior puffer on the rookie list but is now an express on the way to the top. I am on board for the ride. Seats filling fast.

Great to see him keep improving

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

agree wholeheartedly. i absolutely love this kid! last few weeks he's been tough, has ran hard and always put in 100%.

he did the same last night, if not more, and also showed us he has a great footy brain.

look forward to seeing him play many more great games for us

Having just watched the replay....IMO this PA will be Geary's break-out game.

In this game we have seen Geary really start to show those things we have seen in him playing in the VFL.

He is started to radiate confidence and class.

He is a lot better than being just a "worker"...or a "runner"...

He is starting to show that poise and abilty to not looked rushed that good playes exhibit.

He knows how to finish and kick goals...and he also knows how to set up play.

IMO Geary will now grow and grow as a player...most probably into a full-time mid in time.

He will grow with experience...and by this seasons end I think he will bea regular first 22 player. By the end of next year he will a player that the opposition really needs to watch.

He will become better as his body matures too.

A smokie to take the Rising Star ?

Obviously hard to beat rich, but he might be worth looking at. Wonder what he is paying ?

He has really stepped up this year and looking more and more at home in the big league. Runs the lines really well and covering lots of ground as well.
A big improver but needs to keep working hard. :D

I have been a big fan of Geary's since day one, he has the attitude and attributes to take him very far.

I would be very surprised if he didn't snag a nomination this week...

I think I've jinxed him...
Gary Moss from Hawthorn kicked 4 goals from 24 touches and 9 marks...

If he can maintain the kind of form he's in, he'll get one at some stage. He probably needs to have either a week that makes the statsheet bleed a little more, or a week where he does the same while being one of the Saints best (He'd likely have been behind Roo, Fisher, Hayes, Ball and others would be debatable).

The nomination is for one big week. More importantly, if he maintains this kind of play, he'll hold his spot in the side and possibly be one of the guys who takes votes behind the eventual rising star winner.

But stop mozzing him anyway! :)

It'll be interesting to see if he gets the Rising Star nomination this week. So far I'd think his only competition would be Andy Otten.
Completely forgot he was eligible, would be a very worthy nomination, I would also keep an eye out for Eric MacKenzie from West Coast, he is a very likely type.
The qualifying requirements are
1 Must not have played more than 10 games before the start of the season - 10 games so he passes.
2 Must be under 21 years old on 1 Jan of the season - 20 years old so he passes.

We realise he qualifies but do the nominating committee realise he is still eligible.
They are ex footballers so of no proven intelligence.
