Gardi's Taps to Lenny

Post: # 729794Post SaintWodonga »

Lenny won the medal and so he should have!

But when the match was up for grabs early, did anyone else get excited to see Gardi cleanly tap the ball into Lenny & Co's arms...

Was a fantastic effort.

Anyone know how bad Kingy's injury was?

Not injured, just pining for the fjords.

Yes, it's just so exciting to see that the guy playing in the ruck is actually a genuine ruckman. He actually knows what he's doing and his precise taps down our midfielders throats give us such an advantage moving forward. I think it is pretty clear ruckmen are crucial to a team's performance. Keep it up Gardiner, it's great to watch and guys like Lenny and Dal must be loving it.

It is not long ago that most teams used to smash us in the ruck, but Port especially used to smash us.

The playing field was anything but level for our mids.

I thought Gards was great again last night. Not for stat. accumulation (and thus he barely gets a mention), but he rucked his arse off with his pal going down and largely nullified the influence of the POrt big men.

Loved the way he sang the song last night, with real oomph!

I'll admit I thought MG was done and dusted, and the mail I got was he was playing up and finished.

Glad to be wrong

it's just beautiful to watch him tap the ball to space in knowledge that the saints player was going to be on the end of it.

Keep him fit and he will bcome so important come finals

yep, it really showed up how much of a difference king and gards have made when blake was rucking late in the game.
Not knocking blake who tried hard, but king and gards sure are a cut above.

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.

Gardi's ruck work all over the ground was fantastic, but I wish he'd take a kick sometimes. Twice I saw him (within range, or close) handball to someone who wasn't on...seems like anyone running past will do! The guy's a great kick, he could have banged at least one through last night which we never got.

Some really precise tapwork from Gardi - beautiful to watch. Another area we have improved heaps in. :D

So happy to see this guy playing well. He's a vital cog in our game at the moment.

Here's hoping he can stay fit for the entire season. Hell knows we'll need him.

The guy has been fantastic.

It shows what can happen if you give a guy a chance, sometimes it can work wonders.

Does anyone know how we've been doing clearance wise this year (stats)?

We LOST the clearances this week to Port: 40-38.
