Recommended dvds of Saints of old ?
I want to get some dvds of great moments of our past players so my 12 yo daughter can see what I tell her about.
She's fascinated with Plugger's record since she has seen exactly what he did for our club.
Are there any good dvds with highlights of him,Winmar,Harvey,Loewe etc etc ?
Can anyone make any suggestions ?
Thanks

"Heaven and Hell" is a good overall video about The Saints.. I'm pretty sure there's a fair segment about Plugger. I haven't watched it in ages.
"The Mission" is good if you want to watch highlights of the '97 season. Don't watch it beyond the Prelim Final win against North.

Thanks BF. I do have Heaven and Hell on VHS. Now if I can only find a video cassette player Is that out on dvd ?
I haven't seen "The Mission" but will look out for it. I remember video taping the '97 GF. Have never ever watched it though. Just can't. Maybe one day.
There doesn't seem to be a lot old Saints footage on dvd.
Also can anyone recommend the best place to get the '66 GF on dvd ?
Thanks in advance for any help. It is greatly appreciated.

Best video's ever. I reckon I watched them 1000 times each through the 90's,if not more. Had everyting you wanted,Lockett, Moorabbin, Winmar,Loewe, etc. The depth in the variation in crowd roars were brilliant. Not like watching highlight packages now of games under the roof, just one constant homogenised cheer...not a good old fashioned Moorabbin roarkosifantutti23 wrote:If you're interested in the Lockett, Loewe, Burke, Winmar, Harvey, Vidovic era there were season's highlights came out on video in '91 and '92.

1992 - One step closer
If you could borrow them from someone on video, it's not that hard to convert to DVD.
Bring back the Lockett era

thats way to steep
if anyone has ANY games pre 2007 im interested.....pm me
I had a Harves DVD from about 1997 or 1998... can't remember exactly.
It was square shaped, which I'd never seen before or since for a DVD.
What I remember most about it was the goal he kicked in 1997 from the boundary line against the West Coast Eagles... I loved that moment. Someone had gone off on the blood rule, and Harves runs around and kicks a goal!
I remember thinking, as I watched it live at the time... he's won the Brownlow for sure this year. What a champ!
Cheers
