time for the ranga

Post: # 725936Post Solar »

lets take lynch to adelaide and play him alongside BJ in the forward line.

only other option would be big mac IMO or bring in max and move gilbert forward

We will need to swap like for like.

Lynch could well get the call up, given we need to preserve our forward structure.

The only alternative is put BJ up forward, X in the middle, and there's Kosi's forward spot covered.

Could always bring Max in and swing Gilbo forward. But I reckon Big Mac will get the call-up

I'm tipping it will be McEvoy as Ross just spoke about the structure being put out of whack when Kosi went off and it messed with the rotations in the midfield and forward line. Said something along the lines of wheeling someone else in and as long as they perform the role the team needs.

Will be definately Kossi out and McEvoy in. McEvoy is a big boy and can ruck/go fwd. Lynch is still not huge physically and if he has to play Full Forward he would get smashed by Carlile and their other backs who are pretty big and physical.

I'll be at next weekends game, can't wait!

He is mobile enough to play just about anywhere on the ground, but how many goals has he kicked in the VFL this year? (inc. praccy matches)

No worries about mobility, pace is probably on a par with Kosi's. I imagine as long as he makes a contest and crashes any pack that forms within the forward 50 he'll be doing what the Saints want and need.

goose could do that.

a strong aerial presence who can bust open a few packs. whether he can kick goals like kosi has been doing, i'm not sure though.

having said that, i didn't see him play today and haven't had time to read up on the vfl report.

but whatever we decide to do, i think it is important to maintain the structure that has been successful so far.

Lynch should definatly go over with the group even if he's only and emergency, IMO he should start on the flank play up the ground and if needed push foward or back.

He is also extremely mobile so he can play in the midfield as well.

Definatly and option.

Lynch did very little for the Zebs today. Not ready.

do you think gwilt kicks enough goals to play key forward? like him as a player, but i'm not convinced about his value as a goal-kicker.

I like this idea. Goose was pretty good today. He looks ready to me, but I can't see any room for him in the backs.

I get the feeling McEvoy will be picked, but he lacks some of the creative flair that Goose could bring to the equation.

I think Gwilt could kick a bag for us this year. I know he hasn't in the past but we are moving the ball so much better now he could do the job. He is a great kick for goal

Amazing how people see things differently. I was definitely impressed. His work ethic is sensational & he had a hand in several goals.
