The Cats still run deeper in the midfield..BigMart wrote:

We have a deeper squad....
The Saints have the edge in key position players.
The Cats had the advantage in the ruck in 2008....but Gardi and King are looking very good in 2009....and Ottens injury may hamper his season.
However I think it will get back to will our midfield continue to have stepped up a cog??
Lenny will be Lenny
but:
Dal as a true elite
Ball fit and firing
Joey as a very good mid
Bakes and CJ to share the tagging role.
Gram has yet to find that cog this year. But with pace and run..if he can get that booming kick on song rather than asa shotgun blast he could bea real plus.
The young uns of Geary, Eddy, Steven and Armo...can one or more step up?
X...will he be the x-factor...able to add one more classy mid to our mix?
With BJ, Sam and Ray all in support with turns in the midfield. These three in their roles are potentially a HUGE plus for us and could well be the BEST group of backfielders in the AFL in 2009.
In 2008 we were short of players playing elite football.
In 2009 I am hopeful that Roo, Dal, Lenny, Sam , BJ and Max will all play elite seasons.

Well the answer after Round 14 is YES WE CAN!!!!!saintsRrising wrote:Well what a difference a year makes....
The Cats overcame faced their weaknesses.....and then did something about it.
So can we can we be better than the Cats????
I believe that we can be.
But will we be?....ah that is the real question and we will have to wait and see...
.
PS: and the answer to another question in the thread as whether Misson could recitfy our poor soft tissue injury record was...YES HED DID!!!
