The turn around in the Saints just goes to show.............
that if we had kept Thomas we probably would have won a flag by now. I can't prove this of course but I am starting to think this might be true. I guess if we win it this year it won't matter.

If we'd move to Seaford earlier we'd have two.Depressed wrote:that if we had kept Thomas we probably would have won a flag by now. I can't prove this of course but I am starting to think this might be true. I guess if we win it this year it won't matter.

Three if we'd gone to the Junction Oval.
Surely - this is impossible to resolve? The facts are
1) we didn't keep him and
2) we don't have a flag.
anything else, we can wave our hands around and be none the wiser.
And I agree - if we win this year it doesn't matter - live in the now!

Take a look at some of the RL vs GT arguements that have happend over the last 2 years....then you'll see...this has been done-to-deathDepressed wrote:Why do you think that way? I'm just reflecting on what could have been. As I said, if we win it this year it will be Grant Thomas.....who?????Armoooo wrote:Be careful mate, this could be considered baiting...

Hmmm, what it tells me is that we would have likely been 1-2Depressed wrote:that if we had kept Thomas we probably would have won a flag by now. I can't prove this of course but I am starting to think this might be true. I guess if we win it this year it won't matter.
Thoughts?
- Milne would have been gone
- Kosi and Blake would have been rucking
- we would have struggled to turn it around against the Swans Rd 1
- we would have struggled to beat a defensive Crows unit as GT's teams always struggled against the flooding teams
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...

lets forget about thomas, we didnt win a flag under his reign, and the hypothetical scenario means we would have had to beaten a team which lost twice last year, and once in 18 games or whatever it was in 07 (using geelong as the standout in both cases)... I cant believe the team was that much better under thomas...
Lyon 09 is fully alive, and thats all i care about right now, we should stop being so concerned with the would haves, could haves, and should haves, instead look at what we are going to do
