I am struggling to understand why everyone if lambasting Richmond - the teams they have been beaten by are 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the ladder. I am not saying they will set the world on fire - but aren't expectations just a little too much - after all their Messiah is not playing.
I think they should do Melbourne cold this week!

Richmond by 40+, they have been beaten by 3 potential top 4 teams, nowhere near as bad as they've been made out to be.
Hawks by 25+, there biggest weakness is key backs... luckily Port don't have any key forwards so it shouldn't matter. Hawks have the better midfield and a far superior forward line, Cassisi is also a huge loss...
Carlton, they will be hurting after last week and they just have too much talent through the middle for Sydney.

Tigers have too much to lose. Melbourne have already lost it all. Tigers by 35 in a dour game.MC Gusto wrote:geez i am struggling with rich v mel, hawks v port and syd v carl

Hawthorn has that winning feeling back. I expect them to go on a bit of a run from here on. Port do not look disciplined at all. I saw them in the last quarter against Melbourne and they were showponying around, particularly Motlop, Burgoyne and even Cassisi. Hawthorn by 32.
Carlton are very one-dimensional. They fancy a shoot-out but will struggle against teams that play a more tactical brand. The SCG will not suit the Blues who love a bit of space. Sydney will not let the game open up. Swans by 17.

Richmond by 80+. Melbourne are terribly understaffed and Richmond are getting whacked for having the temerity to have a season opening shocker and then losing relatively valiantly to a couple of pretty good sides. Tigers ain't great - bad skills - but they'll DESTROY Melbourne. And I hope so too because I'm sick to death of hearing about them.
Sydney to outmuscle confidence-dented Bluebaggers. Swans by 23.
Port over Hawthorn. Hawks for time being will struggle against middling teams more often than not. Port by 13.

thanks everyone for your thoughts
it seems the majority have hawks and syd with a line ball (swinging towards rich) for rich and mel
so the gusto is thinking and he thinks richmond are shyte. I reckon the dees have a spark, have a dip and show a little flair. the pressure will be on the tiges and they will cave because they are horrible.
GO dees!!

Brisbane by about 6 goals (loss of maxwell and shaw really hurts)
Sydney will do it comfortably up there blues are a bit overrated in my eyes
Hawthorn in a canter this wont even be close could get ugly
St.Kilda in another percentage booster
Im going with Adelaide to beat geelong dont know why just a gut feel
Essendon and NM a draw
Richmond no confidence in either team flipped a coin came up richmond
WB easy over WC Subiaco is the perfect ground for the bulldogs
