It was so funny last night because i was reading on here that players were calling last yrs members and bam 15 mins later Nathan Burke is on the phone.

His voice was so funny when i told him that i had renewed like 5 mins earlier

While we'd all love a call from the players, and it does feel like a reward for those who don't renew, I hope we're all joking when we suggest we'll wait for a call before signing next year.

so having players speak to people who havent renewed for the year (or better still, those that havent renewed for a number of years) gets the membership way over 30 thousand is better than not having players phone and the membership stays around 27 thousand?

granted..everyone should just renew anyway...but that doesnt happen does it.
i think its a great idea.......the players should be ringing people DAILY!!!

Think you may have misunderstood what I was trying to say. I just meant I hope those of us who usually sign up early continue to do so and not hang out just to get a phone call.
I actually think the calls to lapsed members is a great idea. Anything that boosts our numbers is great, and I'm sure there are many who'd find it harder to say no to a player than to a "random" on the other end of the phone.

what diff does it make to the club if i renew in november or april??
they get the money either way.
the club wont go broke from me not paying $105 in nov and waiting till april.
i bet that over 50% of people would either, renew lapsed memberships or upgrade if they knew they had a chance to chat with a player for 5 mins.
