But you don't get one without the other, the closer to the line (angry and agressive) a team plays the more they step over that line.chook23 wrote: angry and aggressive good but not when it = suspension.

King and Kosi both striking...undisciplined and avoidable
without effecting tough/aggressive play...
Understand you are closer to the line though.

Yep, silly, but geez it is soft when it comes to these incidents isn't it? I mean what was the impact of that from Kosi. I just wish we could let the little ones go, pay a free kick or a 50 if need be, but to miss weeks, just seems wrong.matrixcutter wrote:king pulled out and did it well
kozis was stupid really....eagle player was on his back and koz gives him one when pushing up off him.
save the aggression for hitting packs hard.....was a silly thing to do really.
And King should have his charge withdrawn.
Is there any footage of the Dal Santo striking charge? Haven't seen that one...

I don't think there was much in the King one, apart from some terrific acting.
The Kosi one looks like a week, perhaps less if he pleads guilty.
Haven't seen the NDS footage.

Great game today.
I love the aggression - the strong tackling and new found hardness and intensity shown by our players so far this year.
It's been brilliant.
But we need to draw a distinction.
I didnt see what Kosi was reported for .. I hope it's not punching someone in the head.
Kosi wouldn't do something that crazy would he ?
But regardless , let's be clear about something - punching someone in the head is stupid, and there's a big difference between controlled /legal aggression and a blatantly stupid act that can get you rubbed out.
That is not putting in for the team.
It is called an undisciplined selfish act.
Is that what some supporters here want St kilda players to start engaging in ?
Well count me out !
And again I hope that's not what Kosi did.
Anyway i didn't see any incident just saw another great game by Kosi today.

Pretty much how I saw it, hardly call it a strike, the reaction from the weagles player was minimal...don't think any issue personallyAnimal Enclosure wrote:It looked to me like he ground a clenched fist into the side of McKenzie's head. There was no 'backswing' on it, he pretty much pushed his fist into McKenzie (with reasonable force mind you) as he was trying to get up.
A dubious one in my book but you never know.

I was wondering who the 3rd Saint was who was under scrutiny So it was NDS? I was at the game and wasn't aware of anyone being reported until just recently......damn!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Kosi has been in superb form, and I'd hate to tinker with a winning formula BUT he's the one player on our list who i wouldn't mind seeing have a week off every 5-6 matches just to rest up from the niggles.
Plus it would be nice to see young McEvoy get a chance too. On early form, barring injury, he won't get too many this season
