It is obvious that Hudghton, X and R Clarke, Armitage and Goose can help us improve even further when fully fit and firing. Eddy, L. Fisher and even Dempster when back from injury and others also add extra depth, but based on the first two rounds the main improvement should actually come from within the current team, from key players who are not in form yet, almost as if they have ben paced for a long year.
S. Fisher - is way off his all Australian form. Is lacking run and indecisive with his disposals. Needs to find his creative attacking mojo soon.
J. Gram - is butchering the ball and has to turn this around before his turnovers create more problems than his creative run solves.
L. Ball - his inside work is top notch but not running to the hot spots to be a link in the midfield chain and his outside work (running to from and around packs) is below par for the star he is / should be now that he is injury free.
L.Hayes - see above! Was way off his best last night.
N. Riewoldt - super slow start to the year. Must create more contests and chase harder as first instinct. He needs to adjust his game to the reduced number of lead up opportunities available due to rolling zones ... in fact he has to start to lead back rathyer than forward.
B. Goodard - played 2 great quarters, 2 good quarters, 2 poor quarters and 2 shocking quarters. He is way better than that and will find consistency.
These are 6 of our best players who are yet to hit form. They will.
On the upside Gardner and Baker have added an extra dimension to the team in aggression and good ball use and Dal and Kossie have found the form we wanted from them last year. Ray has added run and carry.

Re: Improvement to come
He's been doing that his entire career, so don't count on that changing any time soon. Just thing of Gram's play as a rugby player kicking for touch - it's nothing more than gaining territory.BackFromUSA wrote:J. as many as gram did shank he actually did around the same amount of good kicks INTO our forward 50...which was around three i think.
i thought he played ok, hes sore, and lightly built so he's not going to go headfirst into a pack...he's just not that type of player.
he provides good run and handball, and chases ok (could be better at times tho)
deff has to stay in the side...no question
