I have never wanted to get rid of him....but like most others I have been disappointed and frustrated at his lack of output.

Well played last night Kosi....now lets build on it

agree snippa

annoying how many think crticisim/frustration at his lack of output consistently over 9 years...

Kosi himself often speaks about his own concerns at lack of stringing a few good ones togther

good start to year hope it continues.

I never wanted him to go either, let's face it if a guy has a so called ordinary year but still manages to kick 30 goals, you only trade him for something proven to be a hell of a lot better.

Buddy or Roughead would have been the only acceptable trades.

I do not follow your logic. He did not play as a full forward this week.

Last week he started at full forward and had little impact...but when moved to CHF he became a useful player.

Quite frankly Kosi is a not a good full forward. The position does not suit him....and full backs are more easily able to negate him

I have been advocating that he play CHF for several years...a position and role that suits his skill set...AND a position where he contributes maximum value to the team........and also because floating around it is a lot harder fora CHB to negate him.

he still drifts in and out of a game however 4 goals is a solid performance

he is getting better and hopefully this season proves that it takes bigger players longer to get over injuries and actually run into some form...we all know the value of brad ottens, clark keating etc etc

Looked an awful lot like full forward to me insofar as we can tell on TV.

Generally got the ball in close to goal - his goals were closer to FF than CHF. Occasionally got the ball up the ground, but as we've come to know very well all players will end up coming back at some stage.

Even the one that wasn't as Roo and Kosi spoiled each other (and I note it was Kosi's job as the man running into the flight to spot and protect Roo) Roo was running in from CHF and Kosi out from FF.

Looked very strong.

And all the Raph Clarke slaggers, and all the X. Clarke slaggers, and all the Gilbert slaggers, and all the Michael Gardiner slaggers and all the Gram slaggers.

When you slag very good footballers, it is always going to rebound on you.

That said, Baker's return and Lyon's use of him has been admirable. 2 games does not make a season but Baker's return has been encouraging in parts.

The player I think does cost us, being Milne, was an interesting sub plot to the Coach's comments about F50 pressure as a shorttfall and something which is being actively addressed this year.

So the pressure is on!

And that is the way we love it!!

lets not get too far ahead of ourselves

i've always been a Kosi fan, but 2 games a season not maketh

its the same as whole bunch of underperforming players that have started the season well... good on them, credit where credit is due but we haven't arrived yet

You know kosi's playing well when you yell at roo to stay away from a kosi mark - cost kosi a certain mark and goal.
Played with confidence and gave us an effective forward target.
Bock's blanket job on roo didn't hurt us as a result.

Kosi has deserved critisism and we have all been disappointed with him - more frustrated I suppose.

I thin the Op was directed to the likes of Bernard Shakey who is renown for constantly and continually bagging Kosi.

Funnily enough he hasn't been about since last night

Kosi and Dal have certainly had a look at themselves in the preseason and they've probably realised st kilda are probly about 2 star players short of a major crack at the premiership....

Great game kosi, especially when roo is so out of form at the moment

Kosi is on his way, to me my only concern is staying injury free. Im convinced if he can string games together, the performances will follow. For me, with his current attitude its as simple as that.

i'm scared sh1tless that one day kosi or roo are really going to hurt the other one.......wish they would stop flying for marks together.....

Sorry, but I must have missed all those leads he offered out of FF??????

Looked to me a lot more like he was floating around the forward line...often running towards the goal, or going sideways......rather than out from it.

Liked too his gather on the 50m arc that he kicked long to King standing at FF.

I still believe that he is not suited to playing as a traditional leading FF....but is very suited to other roles.

You're a bloody expert aren't you.

Who played full forward and who played on Rutten then?

I've been busy, it's a long way home from Adelaide.

I wanted to trade Kosi last year.

Yeah, he's played a couple of reasonable games. Okay good games, for him.

I'm impressed with his effort so far and if he can consistently produce throughout the year, we may be going somewhere.

I am really impressed with the whole team effort, especially the one per centers and Kosi is doing his bit in that regard.

Two games in, twenty plus to go.

Good on you Bernard.

Above is spot on.

I am sure you would love to come on here after R22 and say - I was wrong.

Lovely to be wrong about these type of things

I actually thought we were going to be as boring as last year after i saw the praccy matches but so far I have been very encouraged and very entertained.

So therefore I was wrong - but as you say 20 matches to go

agree. his inability to get free on the lead holds him back at ff. he was wonderful with the ball coming in high on friday, but leading is an essential part of the full forward's armoury.

i'm with you on this SRR, regardless of where he played on saturday night. to me he's either chf or second ruck. we need a leading option - riewoldt or gilbert or even goddard - at ff.
