Andrew Thompson - Special Comments on MMM
Not sure if this is an on-going role but Andrew is doing special comments for MMM for the North/Carlton game tonight.
Was discussing Robert Harvey and how he will benefit the Carlton youngsters when I tuned in.
Always enjoyed Andrew when he was representing the Club in the media so will listen tonight with interest.
I think he had a role somewhere last year but stopped after commenting on something relating to the Saints??

I'm wondering whether he is replacing Aaron Hamill as special comments man on a Saturday night, as the ball by ball (is that a cricket term only?) commentators are the Saturday night team.

I think it is pretty poor.
Loved him as a player.
Once met him and he was a terrific guy.
And agree he is pretty good as a comments man.
But tonight was the StK FC AGM.
He is on the board.
He should have been at the AGM.
Really just confirms that Westaway "used" Thommo and probably Bourkie as well to give his campaign some bite.
Clearly Thommo's heart isn't in it.

This game was only changed in the last week to a Thursday night from a Saturday night.Enrico_Misso wrote:I think it is pretty poor.

My guess is that they announced the date for the AGM knowing that all Directors would be available for it - unfortunately work commitments have gotten in teh way for Thommo (through no fault of his own).

Maybe he had a contractual obligation made before it was a clash and couldn't get out of it.

would seem that Thommo and Schwass have changed spots- Schwass has left MMM for SEN and WA comments.
