It is worthy of post on it's own.

An inspiration no doubt to the whole team.

He stayed from beginning to end, sitting in on the old interchange bench.

Best of luck Jack, keeping smiling whenever you can!

Some shots up on slattery media's website.

I wasn't there for very long so I don't have much to report. Will mention that watching Tommy Walsh learn to kick a footy was quite interesting. He certainly improved after his first kick which ended up as a five meter dribble. He has a fair way to go with skills, to be expected, but athletically he is actually quite amazing. Looked very quick when doing sprints and did his laps at quite a strong pace. Then you have his legs which are simply massive.

There was plenty happening all over the oval today, the core group was very vocal and quick with skills and running. Among the loudest was Tom Lynch, obviously was a leader as a junior. I watched Sam Illes for a while and I was actually pretty impressed with his skills in comparison to others.

Some of the younger boys training with us stood out like sore thumbs at times, a clear drop in skill level. They, along with Khan Haretuku were brought aside for some ball handling drills which was watched carefully (whether they knew it or not) by John Peake and Beveridge up in the shadows of the stand.

Begley led a small group consisting of Eljay, McGrath and Al Smith in boxing exercises. Colm in particular seemed to mingle well with both the younger and core players.

Overall quite a high intensity training session on a beautiful morning.

I'm sure others who were there for longer will give you a more thorough report.

Great to hear that Jack Barker is still able to get to training. I agree that his presence would be an inspiration to anyone remotely connected to STKFC !!

GEEZ, stinger!!! You're a mind reader! I could have written that word for word.....
I imagine Barks' ability to inspire loyalty and passion would have shadowed Killa's.

I did weep the day we lost him...it was like losing family

Barks was my childhood idol.
