The banner at Moorabbin
I was talking to a bloke last night and we were reminiscing the Moorabbin ground...Way back there used to be a banner around the outer side fence. I reckon it said
"This is the place where the mightiest ever Saints go marching on to victory"
Is that the correct wording?...
I have a 4 pack of Jack Daniels hanging on the correct answer

I also seem to recall that they came from 'the Junction Oval' originally?
I'm pretty sure that the last few words were as you have posted.
Why not pm saindooley to ask the cheer squad hierachy -as they were the ones who probably used to put them up? They may well know what happened to them as well?
Here is your history of the banners as I recall - President of the CS 1974 -80
Car'n the Mighty Saints (the first Banner - I think Molly & Sandy Breen had something to do with this one. Junction Oval Days.
This is the place where our mightiest ever Saints go marching onto victory. When marching onto victory was lost - it was replaced with go goalwards.
St Kilda the miraculous red black and white magicians of football from Moorabbin forever fighting onwards to victory. 1967/68
St Kilda the invincible masters of Victoria supreme and glorious conquerors of the VFL (1970)
ST KILDA SUPREME (1972)
St Kilda our miraculous champions forever show their dominance. (1973)
ST KILDA (in huge 24 foot letters) our magnificient red black and white football masters. (1977)

That's the one I remember as a kid !!!!
I remember it draped right along the top deck at the G.
Magnificent sight.
