If you want to be pedantic the thread title is correct until March 2009.

First AFL game was season 2000.

Our first game was Round 1 2000 v Sydney...if memory serves me correctly.

I think it was the Labour Day long weekend (Sunday night)....early start to the season due to the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Then coach Tim Watson started Harvs in a forward pocket, Burkey in a back pocket and went with a midfield of Francis, Delaney, very young and raw Hayes etc. Swans smashed us early. He then moves the guns back into the engine room - and we storm back into it almost level at half time. Inexplicably, he goes back to original set-up at start of 3rd and it's goodnight saints. Great start to our lives at Docklands!!

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Yes.

Ryan Fitzgerald kicked 5 goals that night.
