Because most of the hytsterics have school in the morning and have had to go to bed

Really JeffDunne probably hit the nail on the head when he surmised that there was probably compelling reasons that we really shouldn't make public.

If I was Archie or the Pres I would keep my trap shut. We have no god given right to have a full and frank explanation. Just because some wanted him at the club, live with it and move on for gods sake.

Lance or James??

I'm mighty disappointed too and have said so on this thread. I don't take any of it back..... but then I did look down at the thread on the tragic passing of X Clarke Snr and it did put this issue into a bit of perspective.

I wish Ben all the best, I really hope he can beat the demons within.

Brave decision by the club. Its really sorts out who you would like in the trenches with you when the heat is on.

Don't agree with it, but hey I am saints supporter, I used to disappointment.

I will suck it in, plough on.... at the end of the day I love the saints.

If Lyon had wanted him that badly, he would have got him.

Comfortable with the decision knowing the club undertook such an extensive process and that the people involved are not stupid.

 What if this is a cunning plan to put the Lions off, and we grab him with our last pick?

The drug testers also deserved the chance to be able to drug test him properly

I find it hard to believe that he didn't fully understand the consequences of cutting his hair and waxing his body when it came to being drug tested

He knew exactly what he was doing!!!

It was a rock hard upwardly mobile middle finger to the AFL and drug testers even if he was clean

Not the type of attitude we really want around the club - don't you think??

Hats off to the board for making a thorough, rational decision and not just bowing to the playing group, ex-players or anyone outside the club.
Maybe for one, the players don't rule the place....
Isn't that why we appoint them, to make these type of decsions in a rational way?
Any one who quits supporting this club because of this can't read Latin.

Ihave sat on the fence the wholw way through this and was surprised with the outcome. The club has done their homework even to the point of hiring a minder.
The Media coverage has been huge and imagine what it would be like if he tested positive.
I for one never really liked him and many others on this fan forum would have felt the same.
I wish him all the best and hope he play football at some level.

One other thought, I wonder how the players are feeling?

I imagine that the likes of Nick Riewoldt, NDS are feeling a bit overlooked.

this prick teasing exercise by the club reeks of one thing above all.......

LACK OF LEADERSHIP

I heard Sheedy on SEN - he would have taken on BC, and would have told the board how it was.........

I was excited by the possibilities as anyone but if the club has done this much due diligence there must be a damn good reason they passed when they were in the boxed seat.....

If he was half a prospect going on the evidence all things considered the club would have taken a punt

Get over it...

The bullshyt from those who have no insight is laugable...

Draft a good kid and lets move on quickly

I was thinking Fiora, surely he can fill the HFF spot we had Cousins down for.

NDS may have to break at tag and get his own ball without Benny boy. That will kill him more than anything.

For gawd's sake, he did great things with Daryl Cunningham!
