Re: Time Trial
Nice if true but we run 3km not 3.2km still good to see Fish up there as he never won these runs in previous years but has 2 out of 2 this year.ttufc7 wrote:http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/ ... 42,00.html
After losing club legend Robert Harvey to Carlton, the Saints finally have one over the Blues. Not even a fortnight since Chris Judd tore up the track in a 10.33 time trial around Princes Park, not one but three St Kilda players have bettered his mark.
Leigh Fisher was first home over the 3.2km course, coming in at a blistering 9.49, beating Adrian Gleeson's Carlton record of 9.50.
Jarryn Geary (9.59) and Robert Eddy (10.10) also beat the mark set by the Blues captain 13 days ago.
But the session didn't all go to plan. A park ranger emerged to have the Saints booted off the oval.

The park ranger didn't finish the course. No time recorded.

L Fisher average speed (assuming 3km): 5.09 m/sec
C Judd would have won by 7.6 m if everything is accurate. That is a very big IF just there.

Re: Time Trial
Wouldn't Fisher win if his speed was faster? Over about 10 min that would have him coming in around 18m (5cm/sec, 1.8m.min) ahead of Judd.awesome_days wrote:C Judd average speed: 5.06 m/secplugger66 wrote:Nice if true but we run 3km not 3.2km still good to see Fish up there as he never won these runs in previous years but has 2 out of 2 this year.ttufc7 wrote:http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/ ... 42,00.html

Unless you assume the Carlton guy cheated - which is probably fair enough.

Carlton stopwatches are guilty of time collusion.

Any wonder Carlscum was on the brink of financial ruin - they can't do their sums..
Mmm so if I travelled 5.09m/sec and Judd 5.06m/sec umm have I travelled further in that one second?????
Which means in 1 second I have beaten Judd by .03m - so yes I guess I must agree THAT IS A VERY BIG IF - since Juddy is travelling a less distance in the same time -
I quote Sam Newman - "YOU IDIOT!"
