Movember Saints - pledge your support to the boys!

Post: # 675055Post Saints Media »

Andrew McQualter is leading a team of Saints in their Movember efforts. Among those participating include Steven King, Justin Koschitzke, Adam Schneider, Jarryn Geary, Robert Eddy, David Armitage, Sam Gilbert and Eljay Connors.

You can check out a photograph of the guys in tomorrow's Saturday Herald Sun!

In the meantime, make sure you visit the following website and search "Movember Saints" team name to chip in a few dollars for the boys. Every little bit helps!

My Mo for 21 days old looks OK = a little grey though and the bride won't kiss me - she hates it.
Come on you Sainters, grow a MO and register with Movember.com - it's a great charity.

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

Who came up with this "idea"? How has it been spread?

Here's an idea, instead of growing hair - something that comes naturally, we put aside a day and go out and actually help someone. Anyone.

no boys But they managed to get two articles from Harves and he mentions the saints both times and then they put the photo of him with the Saints story about running.

me thinks the media may have as hard a time as us at seperating him from St kilda

Gee youre a hard taskmaster AOK..its a bit of fun and it DOES raise money through sponsorship. Would be great if everyone would down tools for a day and help out a worthy cause of course, but its a bit idealisitc to ever imagine its gonna happen..although plenty do Im sure and more power to them :-)

The fundraising dollar is harder to gather every year..so if you can have some fun making a dollar for a worth cause wheres the harm? To be its a lot better than bailing up cars at Intersections

Not a fan of shaving the head either? Too conformist as well? 8-)

Props for getting on board GSG, I myself have jumped on board Movember (thorugh work) shaving my long held goatee beard and starting from scratch with a soup strainer.

Dispite the fact im starting to look like pro wrestler Triple H its a great cause and I have raised a bit of dough for it. Its even better that I see many people on the street and quite a few sports stars (All the A League soccer sides have mo bros) sporting a cookie duster for a good cause.

I jumped on board this year...granted I look like an absolute d**khead but it's a bit of fun with mates. Raised about $200 on my own thus far & have been happy to be laughed at in the name of a good cause. Call me a sheep if you like - but I think it's a wonderful initiative.
