I am diamond...but what does it mean? Does the club recognize that? Because I am just about ready to ditch my membership because they forcing me to be a social member to keep my seat on level 2.

PS was a social member for years although living so far from the club never realized any value in it.
I relinquished it to afford a seat on L2.

Would be Gold if it wasn't for an unfortunate year where membership money was needed to pay for operations etc. So silver then - still pretty good for an 18 year old though.

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

We have only 4 days left to decide, I'll speak to the club on Monday, but I fully expect we will not be members by Friday. As I said it's a sad day for me.

40% of those in our area are not SC'ers, BUT we are all long time members who support the club. We feel we're being thrown over the balcony just for a few extra bucks. Corporate arseholes will be warming our seats from now on.

The club is a disgrace to pull this stunt.
They have no idea what they are losing.

Sad day.... see my avatar.
I feel exactly the same way mate.
I have emailed the club and will also call them on Monday.

Great post.

Absolute disgrace to do this to Level 2 people.

Well I hope the club loses a fortune.

It certainly save me about $350 a year to get just a basic membership.

Good luck filling the seats with a recession coming on.

Greedy prIcks

I suggest you guys keep your membership. Admin and greedy arseholes in Admin come and go but the club stays on, as does your support.

Just get basic memberships and save a fortune. The MW isn't too bad a place once you get used to the smell of the unwashed up there. :D

I've tried to work out why the Club has decided to take this approach to Level 2, and all I can come up with is that its an attempt to bolter our Social Club numbers. I noticed the cap has been lifted to 11,500 Members rather than the 9000 it was last year. The Club must be pretty condident that the vast majority of you will hand over the extra $125. I just reckon they might have made an eror of judgement though, given the financial times we all live in now.

Whilst I agree its a pretty heavy-handed approach, Id urge all of you who decide that its beyond your means, to downgrade rather than abandon your membership.

Yes..there are reserved seats available on the MW if anyone would like that option. $125/85 will get you a good seat among hardcore Saints fans...so long as you promise not to sit on your hands ;-)

If there is eeough interest, we will also consider a weekly shower policy, but no promises!!

All jokes aside, PM me if you are intersested :-) I can give you a more detailed idea of where the seats are
