The number and calibre of Australian expatriates in any team is known to have a large influence on games.
As a counterweight, teams were rewarded with points on the board per non-Australian native fielded[/
b]: three points for a local national,
two for senior Australians (born before 1970)
or non-Australian non-locals from a third country.

Maybe they could award bonus points for the best mo's on the ground - would explain McQualter being kept and the interest in Carrol...
Points could be taken off for players with previous indiscretions (may rule out Cousins and nullify any advantage in getting Carrol) but bonus points awarded for players helping others (X's new contract and maybe a new contract for Murray?)
How about demerit points for bad club songs (will get back at Freo a bit) although bonus points for good songs may actually push Richmond above 9th.
I would like to see bonus points for wild and outlandish comments made to the media by players and coaches. May spice up Ross's after match interviews a bit.
We may benefit a bit from Demetriou's decision to award bonus points to teams with red and white in their jumper!
