When you watch it let us know if you think we 'TANKED' to make it survive. Could of won but no! The thing that makes me feel ill is the after game commentary by Tim Watson. Cometti doesn't want a bar of it and doesn't talk for 5 minutes. Is this viable for the AFL and why or is money in TV? Is Ireland the 1st international team funded by there Government with the boost from the AFL?

An absolute wank of a game...no interest in it now or in the future....if that puts me at odds with Malthouse then it just makes my position stronger
A notable non event ...nothing more

Went along to the game
Pretty dissapointing crowd..around 40,000 I'd estimate
Good game in patches, but the crowd (much younger than a typical AFL crowd) showed their boredom with a couple of massive Mexican waves. Loud roars of approval greeted the intruders (dressed as nurses, I saw them pre game outside the ground!) and I dont think that would happen at an AFL game somehow lol
The huuuuge gap in round ball kicking and handling skills was never more obvious than after 1/2 time when the ball was wet. Ireland had it on a string...and we didnt lol
Joey...set up an under in the 3rd quarter but also turned it over 3 times than I saw. Wasnt Robinson Crusoe there tho

Did the sissy's have on their netball skirts?
Girls game played by a bunch of victim mentality Eurotrash ranga's who had to have the game changed even more to their advantage so they could fan their pathetically low self esteem and actually win something.
ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS THIS RUBBISH NEEDS TO HAVE A GOOD LOOK AT THEMSELVES.
It embarrasses the AFL and Australia to be involved in this farce.

Lance or James??

the round ball- the aussies couldn't mark or control itsaint66au wrote:The huuuuge gap in round ball kicking and handling skills was never more obvious than after 1/2 time when the ball was wet. Ireland had it on a string...and we didnt lol
Why can't every second series be played with the Aussie rules ball-
they seem to have more of their rules than ours- only thing we're allowed to do is tackle them- But not too hard or they get hurt and the aussies get suspended.
and or agree with some radio- let us employ a Soccer goalie......
the goal scoring ( 6 pointers) make the differance.

The rules are skewed towards Ireland, but Australia is a professional unit... and on that alone it is quite evenly matched.saintbrat wrote:the round ball- the aussies couldn't mark or control itsaint66au wrote:The huuuuge gap in round ball kicking and handling skills was never more obvious than after 1/2 time when the ball was wet. We need a tall key forward. A Riewoldt or a Pavlich would change the game completely. Petrie tried hard in that last quarter, but he doesn't have the class or consistency of some other forwards. He kicked a fantastic goal though.
Furrito (?) tried hard, he performed admirably in a position he would never have played in his life.
Our back line was non existent. It wouldn't have hurt to leave a spare man in defense - too many times the Irish had too much space to work with.
I think next year in Ireland we will do better, especially if we can keep the same core group of players (Harvey, Simpson, Selwood, Petrie, Motlop, etc). And drop Crowley, he can't kick. A lot of easy possessions, but did nothing with them.

We got the gist of it when you posted much the same last week any time the game was mentioned. Not interested? Don't watch. No one's forcing it upon you.joffaboy wrote:Did the sissy's have on their netball skirts?
