Consecutive years added to member cards!! INFO DUE TODAY!!

Post: # 665581Post i_luv_nick_riewoldt »

Nice touch from the club today sending out a thank you for being a member in 2008.

In addition they will add the number of consecutive years as a member on your card in 2009. So be sure to confirm how many consecutive years you have been a member BEFORE WEDNESDAY 22nd OCT!! If you don't do it before then it wont be on your card in time for next season!!

I thought it was a good idea too.

But for some reason it says I've been a member only since 2007.
But I've been one for 2005. :?
Confusing...
Anyway, changed it already.
Should be a cool and personal touch to each membership card.

log on to your "my account" on the saints website.. and in the edit preferences tab there is the option to write down how many years you've been a member. it;'ll explain everything to you there.

Yeh same thing for my brothers and mum.....2007 when they have been a member for ages....

Mine said 1988 - A nice touch....I asked Dad to guess and he said about the time I was 2.....which is pretty much spot on!!!!

How did everyone else go? Highest I know of is Dad's reflecting 1978!

IT would be great if it was like Richmond. After 10 years everyone gets invited to a free cocktail party at Crown where they mix with the players- my wife has been 3 times and raves about it. After 25 years they get guaranteed finals tickets.

On the card is great but really something like this will be better as it will retain members near the limits as consecutive years will stop them leaving

I seem to recall there have been at least 1 (maybe 2?) 'crashes' of the Membership Database over the last few years, where they lost an a whole heap of records.

Other members in my family have not received their letter.

If you don't receive letter in time...................how do you obtain the passwordd that goes with your membership number??

A closing date of October 22nd gives no room for delayed postage!!

Seems like a last minute idea that will cause probs especially with delayed
or slow mail.................

remedy anyone?

5 years consec (silver) membership gets you an invite to that Tigers cocktail party. Friends of mine go and they have a blast..one of the highlights of the year for them (prolly THE highlight of late hehe) . Would be a great initiative. Silver Membership is also noted on their members cap.

2000 for me....but was also from 79-85 before work etc dragged me away.

Just a note to those who are replying by mail..you need to have it back at the Club by THIS WEDNESDAY!!!

I like what Hawthorn does by putting the years of membership on the scarve which really differentiates from most members. The current member scarves to me have no real significance and meaning to me. I'd much prefer to wear my saints scarf from the days at Waverly that has holes in it. However, the personal touch may change that view...

It was unfortunate that they lost all the data, but wont it be too easy for people to lie about all this or can you tell by the low figure in your member ID?

I'd say this is the reason that STK hasn't gone down a similar path to Richmond as people can simply lie to get a top night out and get benefits they don't deserve. Maybe in future years.

However the idea of guarenteed finals tickets after 25 years is brilliant, just 11 years to go for me!! (hopefully by then the club has introduced that same policy).

That 25 years thing has been a pretty safe bet for Richmond though haven't they only made finals like once in the last 25 yrs.

I really can't see the need for anyone on this site to reply by mail, seeing we all have access to the internet..

It's fast and simple via the internet
