Christ mate, you really need to get over this pathological hatred you have for the man.

You completely missed MB's point and you're lecturing about comprehension?
You are funny JD...and your post says a lot more about you than me.

That you have to "hate" people based on their performance I find very strange.

I don't hate GT.. no more than I hate David Windbanks.

Winbanks was not an AFL level player,,,but played for the Saints.

GT was not an AFL level Coach...who unfortunately for me coached the Saints.

I regret that GT IMO squandered a golden opportunity...but I do not "hate" him for it. He believed his way was the right way.....I do not.

So how many people do you "hate" JD???

DW couldnt get a game in a crap side. Gt was considered coach of the year by more than many reporters in a side that had more injuries than maybe many in the history of the AFL but yes you are right he couldnt coach. Funny that our record before and after him has never been bettered but of course there are exuses for that.

Can I ask how a thread on Ross Lyon's performance during trade week became a pro/anti Grant Thomas thread?

I'm Confused        :? :? :? !!

Say what? Where'd you pluck that gem from?
I don't hate GT..
Maybe you don't.

"Obsessed" might be a better word for it.
GT was not an AFL level Coach...
He wasn't?

Let me think . . . whose opinion would I value more on the subject? The self-appointed doyen on everything AFL or our the bloke who is currently captain of our football team?

So how many people do you "hate" JD???
Plenty.

I thought RL did relatively poorly in this trade week, simply because St Kilda are Baker, Ball, 2 onballers and a half-forward away from being a serious threat. (Assuming to replace Eddy, Fiora, McQual, Harvey, and assuming continued improvement in Gwilt and Raph, and assuming X doesn't get right, but if he does he replaces Clint Jones)

We got Ray and hopefully will get Cousins, but what about the half forward?
Corey Jones was on the table and not pursued.
OKeefe probably not worth the price.

The lower draft picks this year won't be ready until the Roo, Kozzi, Dal, Hayes, Ball era is on its last legs - and are a lottery anyway. Getting 6 young blokes is one thing, but not if they include picks 89 and 536.

We needed to top up. Draft picks are expensive this year - so you sell them. I'd have preferred to see a 'got' list of Ray, C Jones, and then B Cousins in the PSD.

For me, RL left us a half forward short, and there was a very good half forward available that was not too expensive.

I agree. He had plenty of chances of getting a player like Judd or Brown but just couldnt do it. Poor recruiting.
