that won't happy, melbourne want to offload him due to salary cap issues, the will keep him if they have to pay him regardlessJT wrote:I think he would he handy as a backup(at least he is familiar to Sandy). As long as we get him for nothing & Melbourne pay his contract.
media beat up...no club is stupid enough
i would rather his predecessor alistair nicholson
"It's a work in progress," Lyon said.
He's not that bad of a player. He's a handy backup defender. 'Worst defender in the league' is definitely rubbish.
The problem with Carroll is that he's an bsolute headcase though with well documented issues, and his position at MFC has become untenable because of it. If I were in charge, I'd accept whatever your first pick in the 100s, with MFC to pick up the full tab for his salary.

Wrong. MFC want to get rid of him because of some off field issues. Salary cap has little if anything to do with it. He's not on that much money.Saints Premiers 2008 wrote: that won't happy, melbourne want to offload him due to salary cap issues, the will keep him if they have to pay him regardless

MFC are trying to sack him and not pay the remaining year in his contract.Nasher wrote:Wrong. MFC want to get rid of him because of some off field issues. Don't dwell on the past.
Look to the future.

If 2pm comes around today and we've picked up Nathan Carroll, we will be the joke.meher baba wrote:Must be crap.
Why on earth would we want Carroll? Even if Goose doesn't make it back to AFL next season, Carroll would struggle to win a spot on our emergencies list.
It must be a joke.

I know that, but a trade would save them a massive headache if it's possible.Snakeman66 wrote:MFC are trying to sack him and not pay the remaining year in his contract.Nasher wrote:Wrong. Actually agree with that. He has some upside to him.Animal Enclosure wrote:I'd rather be interested in Zac Dawson (no sarcasm).
I've seen Carroll play a bit, living in a Melbourne supporting household. He is very very average.
If he is picked it, it will just confirm my suspicions on our recruiting philosophies that I was arguing in the Ben Cousins thread.

Would be a terrible, terrible trade in my opinion.
Apart from anything else he looks like a complete doofus.
But if the trade is done I will support him and hope he does well. May go alright against the third best forward after Max and Fish has the best two.
Remember the Dees defence looked terrible this year because of the way the ball came down that way all year.
Just trying to find something optimistic about this rumour

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Rossy may have a ghey walk but was one of the hardest footballers I ever saw on the field. reckon he could still aim up on some internet hero.

I'm more optimistic than you: I'm letting myself think that it's got the same level of validity as all the rumours about Daniel Kerr wanting to come east.joffaboy wrote:Would be a terrible, terrible trade in my opinion.
