On 693 they mentioned that the Hawks are very interested..... you would think for their first round pick - though given their options at half forward I really don't know why they'd be after him?

One would think that they'll offer their first round pick and that might be a bit rich for us. Be very happy with exchanging our 2nd rounder though - perhaps even our 4th pick too.

And we have not been linked in the media with ROK...... so looking unlikely..... I'd be very happy to be wrong though! :D

I wouldn't mind having him as long as we don't have to sacrifice too much to get him.

Would be terrific if it happens, but is quite unlikely. I don't think Leigh Fisher & a 3rd round pick is going to land us anyone anywhere near the quality of O'Keefe. For what it's worth, I reckon he'll probably end up staying at the Swans.

One of the things I noticed last year was the lack of rumours coming out from the Saints during Trade Week. There seemed to be nothing mentioned until the deals were announced with both the Swans deal and the Geelong deal.

I amy be wrong but my recollection is that there was little or no mention of us until the announcements.

The same seems to be happening this year.
Almost nothing said about us in any deal other than the offer of Pick 13 for Cordy.

They didnt call Lyon the 'silent assassin' in his playing days for nothing...I thought the same.

Will be interesting to see if we do anything and if we dont it tells me we may be looking a little longer term with picks and thats ok cause the squad as it is right now IMHO wont take us all the way - weve seen that this year.

Spot on. If we use 4-5 picks, and 3 of them turn out to be 100+ game players, we've done well. Don't mind the lack of rumours, as I think we might have a couple of surprises up our sleeve...

O'K wants 4 years.

After the Hamill saga, that ain't going to happen at the Saints.

sounds like he isa signed sealed delivered hawk

which means two things

a)the swans want the hawks to win the premiership next year;
b) tim boyle and and a few others will be moved on.

exactly what I have said all along...

O'Keefe is fishing to have is final contract of his career and and 28 next season and wants a contract for 3 - 4 years for big $....

Do we really want this when the draft so is deep???

a perfect fit for the Hawks or Carlton, who have done well with their draft picks and have lots of youthful talent, and a good reason for the Swans to off load a good player for youth in what is an aging list...

IMO O'Keefe is not a good fit for us, we need good YOUTHFUL talent and not a band aid fix

ROK would be great for us and wouls have been MiIntosh but neither are a chance of coming to us as we wouldnt have the money in the salary cap especially if we get Cousins. Some of our underperforming stars would have very good contracts at the moment.
