Does this mean we willl only get a 10 game membership this year?

Or 11 including one away TD game (nominated by the club, usually against bulldogs).

would it be 11 but reserved seating $ would be reduced as we only get to sit for 10 ?

Does any one know what Collingwood have given up over the last 20 years to ensure they hardly ever play at Subiaco?

I hope we can pick up enough interstate memberships to offset the loss of some Western Saints. One game a year for the cost of three interstate meberships? Hmmmm. Might have to put the daughter on the Eagles waiting list so I can at least watch a couple of games of footy throughout the years.

Don't like it.
We are compromising our integrity for money.

Why not sell off 11 home games?
That would raise us around $5m !!

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

I don't know why but that made me laugh.

Welcome to the AFL.

And the cost?

While I'm not a fan of selling home games I don't see the problem with a one off situation.

However I doubt we'll get any favours in the draw as a result of doing it - unlike Richmond & especially Carlton that are already guaranteed certain fixtures in the draw.

Westaway said last night at Preso that if we had 38 000 members then we wouldn't have to sell interstae. I have no problem playing up there for a bit of extra coin.

Because we need $400,000 not 5 Million. The only problem I have is the home game will be against Brisbane from what I understand which is really a home game for them but the club obviously agreed to that.

Such bulls***.

With the disaster of Tasmania, we going down the same track?

Cannot believe it.
I agree. I would rather a greater chance of 4 points than $400k. This new board really hasn't bought much new to the table really have they?
neither have you. ever.

FFS the 400k is worth more than 4 premership points isn't it.
esp when you get outnumbered at 3 straight finals matches - where were the "dyed in the wool " supporters that came out of the wood work when we got the dbl chance and didnt come to a game in the 1st 3 weeks of the finals.
?

we have just as much chance of beating a team at carrara than at north moe oval or the MCG at the minute.
id rather play at carrara than have a 2nd game at AAMI or SUBI ?
wouldn't you ?

The only disgracefull aspect of this is the fickle members who do not renew IMBHO.

Apart from the fact that it appears we are playing the Lions I'm OK with it. If we are transferring a HOME game it would have been nice to at least have 1/2 a chance to create even a little bit of home up there...as we did v North. Much harder now with a few thousand Brions "fans" there.

Oh and just for the record..there are a million reasons why people might not be able to travel Interstate to see teams play..not just financial.

Sorry matrixcutter but it gets on my goat when peple translate "real" supporters as ones who are lucky enough to have the time and money to travel

Bully for you..now go back and read my post again..especially the bit that says NOT JUST FINANCIAL

Just for the record, I could afford to get to Interstate games should I choose, and I amy well be arranging a trip to the GC should the dates work out,. but I choose to spend the time with my invalid father instead. I'm not trading on this, I am just try to illustrate that its more than just money for some people OK???????

Plus..I'm more a museli person :-)

Look I dont want to get into a slanging match with you, but I just think its important to realise that everyone lives their lives with their own set of priorities, committments and responsibilities. Saying "wa wa wa" to those who dont have the opportunity to travel is showing a disrespect of that IMHO

Save your scorn, perhaps, for those who DO actually state "Oh I could go but we never win interstate so why bother". IMHO that is the only attitude that deserves your response..and I reckon on this site anyway theres precious few of them :-)

Personally last year's trip to the GC was one of thr great week-ends of footy and a season 2008 highlight. It certainly beat the hell out of that passionless, soulless, morose night (afternoon) spent at Telstra Dome watching them play Port...my god that game was like eating chalk!!!

Take the money Saints, it's not easy to come by.
