Please, everyone, ... STOP FIDDLING!!
We have a great jumper.
The black back is strong and fine!
The white numbers are clear and excellent.
The more stripes and trims and little bits and pieces we add, the more it all gets muddled and diluted.
Admittedly, in this day and age, we seem to need a clash jumper.
Let's keep this ULTRA-simple too.
Perhaps the white back (and arms) of the 1950s jumper -- just a reverse of the black.
It looked pretty clean and fresh on Neil Roberts.
Or re-adopt a totally different, SIMPLE, design, like the candy stripes.
The tests are:
a) You can describe it verbally. (Try doing that for half the stupid away strips other clubs wear!) (Well you can easily verbally mis-describe them I suppose.)
b) Kids can draw them with a texta.
It is hard to improve upon an ICON. And dangerous to try.

I dont want to be picky- but am pretty sure the Lions are just BBFCsaint edward wrote:st_nick wrote:Oh, and I added a STKFC motif to the back of the neck. Seems to be in fashion these days, and well, I like it.
Those are only forteams who have changed cities or their team name.
* Western Bulldogs (FFC - Footscray football club)
* Sydney Swans (SMFC - South Melbourne football club)
* Brisbane Lions (BBFLFC - Brisbane Bears/Fitzroy Lions football clubs)
Brisbane Bears football club which sucks cause they are the Lions (fitzroy)

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
Haven't seen it, but info comes from a pretty reliable source. That's about all I can say. Archie is on record as saying it will be unveiled later this month though, so not too long to wait.saint edward wrote:st_nick wrote:Methinks you'll like next year's clash jumper then.avid wrote:Admittedly, in this day and age, we seem to need a clash jumper.

Yeah i asked him on 'ask Archie' at Saints central and he said it would be a good mix of the old and the new and would be prodominantly white.
