Interesting to see how teh 'big names' fared in these tests.
If Natanui and Watts can actually play footy they may turn out really special.
No mention of Daniel Rich in any of these tests, as well as some of the other more fancied names.

Natanui can certainly play, at least at WAFL level. Remains to be seen if he can cut it at senior level.
The best leap, vertical and running, very quick in the sprints and 200cm tall. Is also an excellent contested mark and is well spoken and comes across in interviews as mature for his age.
Could be an absolute superstar. Has clearly stated his desire to play for WCE and if Melbourne don't take him I'd bet my house that WCE will.

What are his footy skills like, mate?

From someone across the country, Ive only seen footage of some of his leaps and a goal he kicked for Fiji in the International Cup... whats his kicking and hand skills like?

Can he read the play?

I assume hes still got alot to learn about the game.

This is the only criterion that I outperform the draft camp folks.

And I do it with several kg to spare. Should I nominate?

I know some teams look for pace, others for height, others for athleticism. If you know of any teams are looking for weight encourage them to PM me. Looking for a 4 yr deal though.

Jordan Roughhead for me, if he's half as good as Hawthorn's Jarryd (are they related?) he will be just what we need as ruckman/forward/back KP.

Interesting comment on ABC TV "Offsiders" this morning: "The AFL Draft is a bit like the racing industry's Yearling Sales, you pick a likely colt and hope that he can race" or words to that effect.

That's why I hope St Kilda pick up Roughhead, because he's from proven stock, and yes, you should always go for a good big man first. It's a credo that Grant Thomas failed to follow, to our eternal regret, because if we'd had a strong ruck division in 2004-2006 to complement a strong midfield and goal to goal line there may well have been another Premiership Cup in the Moorabbin showcase.

I dont see how he 'failed to follow' that regard saintwill66.

He went for Barry Brooks who was a first round draft pick and judged to be one of the best big men in the draft. He tried for Cox when he wasnt getting a game at West Coast.

Just because Barry was shattered by injuries, and Cox ended up re-signing with WCE when Gardiner broke down, doesnt mean GT failed to identify and try to gain a genuine ruck division.

I've know Blease well and i am really goping we pick him up. not just because it would be great seeing a mate run around in the red white and black but i think he is the type of player we need.

Is he worth a first rounder? I think Melbourne will get him with their PP...Or he'll go somewhere around there.

Looks the goods though, some of those running goals were awesome!
