What has happened to Aaron HAMILL??? For a guy to have played with so much passion for the SAINTS I am disappointed the club hasn't used him, off field in some format!
You have to wonder if he left and good terms with the club - after his injury and having to pay out for that ridiculously long contract GT signed him up to.
On the same track why hasn't HARVEY been locked into some form of a development role around the club? These are the type of people the club and young players need about the place - blokes who have put the heart into the club...

Hamill still not replaced
We still have not replaced Hamill in our forward line and we are still adjusting to the post Gehrig era as well. Watching Roo constantly bust a gut in the latter part of the year rammed it home to me that we still need a genuine hard leading, sweet kicking and fierce contesting Full Forward.
I know that Midfield domination and defensive domination sets up a tilt at a flag but we need the likes of a Michael O'Loughlin (younger version than 2008) or a Buddy Franklin (even if only half as good as the Hawks unit) to provide genuine leading - chasing - passing & CONVERTING!!!!!!!!!!
Hawthorn as someone pointed out on this forum were so right to draft Buddy and Roughie in the same year as they strongly felt they were top shelf forwards..
Stan Alves argues that the Saints should keep their defensive stocks high and draft a big guy for the post -Maxie era (**** i cant stand it - loosing Maxie too will hurt bad...but having a good replacement for him would ease the pain as would a pick 12 or whatever we have in the Draft that would equal the the snaring of Cyril Rioli.
Anyway we have to give our new football dept. more than one year to produce the miracle.

Mate, how you can use the terms "Michael O'Loughin" and Lconverting" in the same sentence. I don't know if there's a guy who I would feel less confident about taking a shot 30 metres out right in front of the sticks: except perhaps for Buddy (but at least I'd knoe he'd get another shot 5 mins later) or, of course, our very own Kosi!!

i think that the fact is A Hamil isstill a little dirty on the fact we didnt give him another year to try and come back . i miss his hardness and the way he flew the flag for the club ... harves wants some time away from footy and thats a fair call 21 years at the same place would require some time away ... i couldnt stand to see him in another teams media polo

Why do we have to employ Hamill?
The club was correct in letting him go when they did. Would not have lasted another year IMO.
If he's still dirty, that's his problem. The club is bigger then the individual... even bigger than HArvey.
