Draft Camp "NEWS" !!
The best young talent will be on display at the AIS in Canberra next week, 30 Sept-3 Oct. I have been able to find the list of invitees from the TAC Cup comp, including those invited to the State screening (through the TAC Cup website..I don't know how to do the link thingy) but can't find the full list. Interesting to note that 9 of the premiership team, Murray Bushrangers have been invited to DC.
Perhaps Mods could make this a "Sticky" until after Draft Day !!

Will we pick up a player in the SSP window
I went to Primary School with number 40, Rory Sloane.
Even back then, he showed a whole lot of promise.
I think I told mum allthat way back then that Rory would probably make AFL standard.
Apparently he rips it up for Eastern Ranges.
AND He's a saints fan.

Friends????? Bob, my northern island colleague wouldn't have known how to spell it if you hadn't shown him.
St Kilda's 2 premiership captains are Tassie born. The Doc & Roo.

St Kilda will:
1. Trade 1st round pick for Property stewards nephew who has been staring in the SANFL seconds and really wants to come home. (Will be de-listed in two years time)
2. Trade second round for a decent player from an interstate club who will play 40 decent games before retiring in three years time.
3. Keep round three and draft the 50th best player in the country who will always look a bit light to play AFL and never quite live up to expectations. Player will be from Broadbeach.
4. Trade round 4 for a Hawthorn fringe player who will play every second week for three years, never really cementing his spot in the senior side. Will however dominate for Sandy.
5. Pick up a player straight from Managatang Thirds. Surprisingly he won't make it.
Rookies
1. Pick a player who made the All-Australian U18s side but missed getting drafted. (With good reason).
2. Pick a project Ruckman. 0 Games for the St Kilda FC
Tongue in cheek ofcourse, but not too far from our recent recruiting record.

Beams stood out on the Queensland field this year for more than his obvious playing abilities — he has the words "strength through loyalty" tattooed across his chest and a more elaborate design snaking all the way down his right arm: flames, a deck of cards, the Australian flag and other bits and pieces.
