Kosi and Dal trade bait - The Australian
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/st ... 32,00.html
The Australian reports today the both Kosi and Dal have been hawked around as trade bait according to other Melbourne clubs. Article says that the asking price is a first round draft pick.
Claim has been emphatically denied by the club.
Club also rejected claims that either or both could be used to trade for Kerr.
Who knows, perhaps Lyon's energetic trading at the end of last season may not just be "topping up" but a feature of his reign?

Faithful Even Unto Death
So the journo's at the Australian have been lurking SS and BF?
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

The highly paid pair, who are believed to each earn upwards of $450,000 a season, will remain at Moorabbin next season, unless "a massively attractive trade deal was offered", according to a senior Saints source.
the source is saintsational, home of all that is credible
Dal Santo averaged 22 possessions per game this year, but only 17 in the Saints' qualifying final loss to Geelong and 15 in St Kilda's preliminary final loss to Hawthorn.
and the game against collingwood? close to best on ground.
low tabloid journalism from the country's leading broadsheet.

Greg Denham loves trade week, doesn't he? Fair dinkum.
Not rating it.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

I'd hate to think what would happen if we at least didn't have an emerging ruckman....
what pick did rioli go for?
And we still don't have an emerging ruckman.
The line from the club at the time was not that we went for him because we wanted a ruckman, he was picked (according to reports) as "best available".
The future will hold the key to see if we came out on top or not. I've not got high hopes for McEvoy as a ruckman. perhaps as a Ruck/Forward, or permanent forward.

We can sure pick em..Otiman wrote:I don't know what's emerging about him. Can't win a hitout to save his life at the moment. Was trounced by Bellchambers (picked in PSD) when we played Bendigo.ausfatcat wrote:ummm McEvoy??
Look at Hawthorn...
Campbell
Renouf
Taylor
Bailey...
Will we pick up a player in the SSP window
Our drafting has been atrocious. Let's be brutally honest, over the past few years who have we picked up? Allen, Eddy, Geary, Gilbert, McQualter, Steven, Sweeney, McEvoy, Jones, Armitage, Gwilt, Howard off the top of my head. None of whom have gone on to cement a first 22 place (maybe Gilbert), and certainly none who would worry the opposition.
Gilbert was promising in 2007 but had a poor 2008. Gwilt looks to be a GOP at best, McQualter has had 4 years in the system... wasn't he a first round draft pick? Certainly never lived up to that. Only Armitage looks like he could potentially go on to be a 200+ gamer. The likes of Allen, Eddy, Geary, Howard will more than likely go nowhere. No idea what happened to Sweeney, was he delisted? Steven hasn't even played a game, but considering the luck we've had it's a safe bet that he'll go down the same path as the others.
I think St Kilda goes for too many smokey's, maybe we should start drafting on reputation... ie. kids with the name Rioli, Selwood, etc... what's the worst that can happen? We end up with another Brad Howard sort of player.

3 years ago if someone said mooney was going to be a premiership CHF you would have laughed at them, pretty much the same about guerra and chance bateman.
as for the rustralian, look at their football journos and have a laugh.
the big phat turkey is not allowed into ANY club, he is basically no different to scribes here or on bf with his editorials, he is universally reviled by players and administrators.
if you want to break a story, go to caro, TFS or sheehan.
