David Wojcinski dropped
http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/ ... 61,00.html
GEELONG'S hard-running defender David Wojcinski has been dropped in a crushing decision by the Cats' hierarchy.
Wojcinski, 28, played every game in last year's succesful campaign, but is the first hard-luck story in what is shaping to be dramatic lead-in to Saturday's Grand Final.
The Herald Sun has confirmed the report.

Just on that, the way I see it it's a bit of a risk by the Cats.
Chapman is better then Wojinski no doubt, but Wojinksi is a good enough player that you wouldn't lose a heap in selecting him over Chappy.
Now Chapman has had 3 or 4 hamstring injuries this year and even if passed fit surely he presents some risk...
Would they have been better to go with the superstar in the risk that they lose him 10 minutes in?
Or pick the slightly lesser player who is still a gun and just go down that path.
I probably would have done the latter.

Not a huge fan of Wojack, I feel he is one of those players whose reputation is boosted significantly from being in a great team.
Wouldn't give up a 3rd rounder for him...
Nowhere near as good as Gram, Goddard, S.Fisher...
And less of an upside than Raph...

But if we do get him, that would make it 4 premiership players on our list (Monica, Schnieds, Kingy and Dumpster).Armoooo wrote:Yeah but he was one of their quieter players, only got about 12 touches from memory...brown-coat wrote:did monica wojinski play in last years grand final?
All we need is another 7, and we could then say half our team are premiership players.
....might not mean we'll win a flag with them, but is sounds good!

Why would you drop Stokes? He has a hell of a lot of value to the Geelong team, in that he supplies a hell of a lot of forward pressure, can play bursts in the midfield, and is more than capable of kicking a goal. Would love him in our side.mick13 wrote:Apparently Wojak's been pretty unfit this year and hasn't been close to his best.
I probs woulda dropped Stokes (will be the luckiest ever 2 time premiership winner)
Is a shame for Wojak, he's kicked some awesome goals against us in the past...

I wouldn't, we have enough blokes who can't keep their feet when it gets hot.True Blue Sainter wrote:Why would you drop Stokes?
