So what?

Fiora played well against Hawthorn in rd 18/19? big deal?

You need more strings to your bow than simply a "stopper" and mini aint got it for mine - he is NOT the typ of midfielder player we need to inject some pace and kicking ability into our side.

Cameron Ling is the modern day stoper or Sewel AND they win their own ball. Check out Sewels brownlow performance.

You need more strings.

Retired:
F. Gehrig
R. Harvey
M. Gardiner

Delisted:
M. Ferguson
L. Fisher
M. Rix
C. Gardiner
A Fiora
S. Birss

Rookie Promoted:
J. Attard
R. Eddy
L. Van Rheenen

Rookie Retained:
A. McQualter
K. Haretuku
L. Miles

Rookie Delisted:
G. Chivers

Rookie Listed:
B. McGrath
Irish Experiment

Pre Season Draft:
Sam Iles

Trades, Draft:
1. Indigenous midfielder - pace to burn, skillful (upgraded version of CJ)
2. Key defender - lock down type, not neccessarily a play-maker (Shouldn't be a long term prospect though, will need to be best 22 in 18-24 months time)
3. Pacy midfielders
4. Tall, Basketballer type ruckman

No trades or picks on 20-23 fringe players from other clubs, we have enough of those ourselves.

Birss's papers have been stamped, LVR has shown some signs and will be important to develop with Big Mac and King the only recognised ruckmen on the list (Kosi and Blake will still play big park in the centre though)

Getting Kerr seems a very distant chance, and is the only player we should make enquiries about during trade week, and Cousins is Lexus Centre bound.

Must concentrate on youth now. As has been said through the media, it's time to take a couple of steps back to take steps forward.
