Missed Tackles
Was it just me or did it seem that we just couldn't make most of our tackles stick - I am talking about for the majority of the season and it hurt us. It seems there is a serious flaw in our technique. Hopefully a big pre season strength wise might also help in this area.

To many stomach slaps and not enough sticking tackles.

The jekyl and hyde that is stkilda. Two weeks, two tales. Against the pies they stuck, against the hawks they flopped.
The thing that has been very obvious between us and lets say Geelong.
If we manage to tackle and stop the opposition in their tracks we are happy to lock the ball up, & reset in a structured bounce down. We want to stop the flow.
Other teams noticeably geelong & hawthorn they will do anything to continue fighting, ripping the ball out and keep it moving. The tackle that brings the opposition to the ground is not the end, but the start of the turnover.

Compare the body sizes of the Cats and Orks to Collingwood. It's one reason which explains why we're out of the race.
1,11,13, 17, 26, 40 can't stick tackles. At least 38 & 44 try.
