Forget O'Keeferalphysaints35 wrote:id go o'keefe would depend who we would have to trade though.homework wrote:If your talking about that silvagni from the scorps his piss weakralphysaints35 wrote:Cousins, O'Keefe, Silvagnihomework wrote:Hey homie here, does anyone know any info on a Backman we should draft or a pacey ball magnet midfielder?
He'll turn 28 before next season
Both this season and last season he has averaged just one goal a game
A good player a few years back but he is on the slide IMO
and also he would be too costly and not value for money
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

Was waiting for the fonz to reply... ah that brings back memories.
Anyway, I will say this like I do every year (and no doubt after our trades will say I couldn't be happier)
I hope we are inactive during trade Week.
If I post something to rebut this after Trade Week, can someone please quote this post to remind me....

Re: A.F.L draft
O'Keefe is PERFECT for our forward line. He's only got 4-5 years left, but he has been the best medium forward in the competition for the last three years and is showing no signs of slowing down.St Fidelius wrote:Forget O'Keefe

He hasn't missed a game since 2003 and in that time he's averaged roughly 19 disposals, 6 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal and 1 goal assist per game.
He is the ideal player to provide a leading option and take pressure off Roo. Our forward line functioned better when we had an absolute hack playing that role in Charlie Gardiner, so imagine the difference when you've got one of the genuine gun forwards of the AFL in that spot.
