Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!

"Unflappable St Kilda coach Ross Lyon had a major win before his teams 54 point loss to hawthorn in last nights AFL preliminary final.
Hours before the MCG showdown - the biggest game of his coaching career - Lyon defeated 5 other bidders to buy a 4 bedroom, 4000sq.m house with pool and tennis court in a prestige area of Templestowe.
Lyon paid $1,606,000 ($206,000 above the reserve) in an auction battle that attracted almost 130 bids.
Agent Gabby Bebe, of Barry Plant, said the property with 370sq.m of living space was in Templestowe's 'golden mile', where homes had sold for more than $7 million"

whatever mate....you know what I meant.
I have bought three properties from auction and each time it has been a stressful and all consuming experience.
It probably doesn't mean anything but I just thought on the day of the prelim final you would want to stay at home to mentally prepare for such a big night rather than buying a house.
But thanks for correcting me Jeff. You sure showed me!!

Unlike you I wasn't trying to score points.
I was simply pointing out the "house hunting" comment was a bit of an exaggeration. If you want to buy a property it's not like you can choose the date of the auction (but I'm sure a property magnate like yourself doesn't need to be told that).
We are grasping at straws if we think Ross bidding at an auction is an indication of anything related to last night.
