as Mitchell wasn't bleeding from the face, wasn't holding his face, and seemed to be favouring the back of his head, where it looked like (to me anyway) that he hit on the elbow of the Hawks bloke behind him

Yeah, tough to tell...but didn't look good! Looked like a forearm to shoulder/next area...probably holding the back of his head because he got smashed into the turf!
