so if the club had used a loud hailer and told the whole ground then we may not have been fined?????????

even BJ didn't know Birssy was out there.

considering it costs patrons $2,000 to get into a GF i'd say that it's value for money.

Well, it's in the rules book, silly, but we knew the risks when we took him out.

I'm sure the club would have been well aware prior & wouldn't have any problems with paying it. Better that we warmed up Birss just in case Lenny couldn't play. Stupid rule though.

what a stupid rule emergencies should be aloud out on the ground. :?

their is so many T.V. and radio people out on the ground before the game the afl must for get who actually put on the show .

We would have been well aware of it. we won... we get extra gate takings the following week. If Lenny hadnt come up we would have been down a player and possibly lost (highly unlikely, with the way we played)

so we spent 5 grand to possibly get a lot more with gate takings and then possibly winning next week for $1 million bonus

Sadly, no gate takings from finals matches, & NAB/AFL have pulled the pin on the $1mil. bonus this year too.

and they wonder why clubs struggle to post profits....

not only do they reneg on the million dollar bonus but now they fine clubs for warming up a player because they are worried one of their 22 might notbe well enough to play.....

So does it have to get to the stage of risking a players health or playing one player down to make them see straight....

AFL = bunch of wankers

Didn't Sydney get a similar fine for winning a game with 19 men of the field?

Only difference is that they changed the rules thereafter to suit Sydney!

I thought the fine was $6,000 if you ran onto the MCG!

Supposedly it could of been $20 Grand max. I'll take that $5k and whatever interest! Who honestly cares??? (only the few ever-whinging Collywobbles fans I think 8-) )

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

The Fat Greek Tossbag needed new furniture - 50 mths interest free @ Harvey Norman. JHC, I detest him and all he stands for. Still, good to see general shirt lifter support at the AFL for Ade (aka "The Boy"). They want your date Ando - enjoy.

Id pay it again this week if we thought it was any advantage.

But yes, emergencies should be able to run out with the team as normal without repercussions.

the emergancys do warm up but to the AFL rule book its to be done in the change rooms not on the ground after the warm up if the emerg. are not required they then go for a 40min run so they didnt warm up for nothing . it seems strange that they allowed birss to warm up outside as they would of obviously been one man down in the change room warm up so the club would of 100% known
