I really like Batnoe's train of thought. I think I might lay down around $500.00 also because coming from cairns cost a bit and like you said if we don't make it I'm still about $1500.00 in front with all the money I save for not having to come to the GF.

We are at $3.50 for win to beat Hawks. I think it is a good bet. If we win i win a lot of money, if we dont i was going to spend more than $500 for next week anyway ... when we make the grand final. somehow im trying my hardest to get in on GF day and i need to borrow the money.
the money has been offered to me from a good friend who is in no hurry to get it back.
so the way i see it is:
im going to borrow around $2000 anyway if we make it and pay it back.
so if im willing to have to pay back 2 grand i might as well borrow $500, have a gamble and when i win i have me money for the week after (and only have to pay back the $500)
lose and im $500 out of pocket and have to pay it back (but i was willing to be 2 grand outta pocket originally)

I went halves with my brother who will fly back from london if we make it, so i it is $500 each

I put $940 @ $3.15 for win to get $2961
I put $20 @ $3.75 for first score a saints goal to get $75
I put $20 @ $8 for us to be losing at half time but win the game to get $160
I put $20 @ $10 for us to win between 13-24 to win $200


Carn saints... i had to make bet, if we win well i will be laughing- a free grand final... if we lose, well it has cost me $500 but was willing to spend $2 grand anway so i save $1500..
