Don't argue with an idiot - people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Attendances are largely related to how loyal our fans are and how well we are playing.
But beyond that they significantly impacted by the AFL
- where do they schedule our games
- when do they schedule them
- how many interstate trips
- who are we playing
eg Kangaroos at the Gold Coast got a pathetic crowd.
But had that game been a second game against say Richmond at the G,
or if the R22 game against Essendon was Fri night at the G,
then we would already be well above 1,000,000.
Don't get excited about Collingwood's attendance figures.
Most of their games are at the G in favourable time slots and they get their annual "Blockbusters".
So much for a level playing field.
That is the single most inequitable thing in the game.
Money beats morals every time for Dimwit and his clowns.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

St.Kilda's achievement of 1 million fans through the gates is far greater than that of the other four clubs to achieve this, as despite us having played 25 games after Saturday night, none of Hawthorn, Collingwood, Essendon or Carlton have had to play at Carrara or the capacity reduced SCG.
Further to that, the saints have played Fremantle and Port Adelaide twice, both of whom are traditionally poor crowd pullers.
St.kilda will have also only played 5 games at the MCG, compared to Hawthorn (12), Collingwood (15), Essendon (7) and Carlton (9).
A special mention should be given to our interstate supporters as I reckon the saints have had almost better support on the road than any other Victorian club.

Hawthorn had 4 at York Park so I reckon they are doing Ok.Beno88 wrote:St.Kilda's achievement of 1 million fans through the gates is far greater than that of the other four clubs to achieve this, as despite us having played 25 games after Saturday night, none of Hawthorn, Collingwood, Essendon or Carlton have had to play at Carrara or the capacity reduced SCG.

yeah good point...and lucky I got a reserved seat ticket in the MCC members this week, otherwise I'd have to send in my membership card, which probably wouldn't be returned if we made the Granny, so someone else could get in as me!rodgerfox wrote:I'd suggest not sending in your ticket prior to the match.
....but it would be worth the risk just to be in the draw for the jumper eh?
