Stephen King

Post: # 646867Post howlinwolf »

I was looking at the training photo of Kingy in the training thread and started thinking...

What a pick up he was to our club.
Without him we wouldn't be contesting a prelim final.

Without him, who would we have had in the ruck for our lead up to 4th at the end of the home away ?

We simply wouldn't be where we are now.
After this season I hope he goes one more and passes on all his knowledge to young Ben.

Really he has been an important player that has flown under the radar I reckon.

agree wholeheartedly. Has been a great pick-up for us.
I had him in my best last week. His use of the body and quality tapwork have been instrumental at the business end of the season. You just can't substitute for the experience and big bodied presence he's given us at centre bounces and stoppages.
He's only 29 and hopefully has two or three years left in him.

Two years would be a great result for both. 3 Premierships at two clubs should see Kingy out

If he comes out in a clown suit, I am out of here.

That clown isn't as scary as Gacy.

On the King note... would be pretty screwed without him this year. maybe some of our younger ruckmen would've got a run but they ouldn't have been as effective in a learning role compared to the experience King brought to the table.

Should our ruckman's nickname be "Pennywise"?

as much for the leadership and experience he brings to the team as his ruckwork he's been very good for us. sort of an elder statesman type,

I'm liking how he & Lenny are really clicking. They seem to be reading each other very well.
