How could he have known when was he facing the other way?
And has the worst awareness in the AFL according to many pundits?

Can we use that in his defence?

What for,, a heavy tackle and follow through.Since when do you get rubbed out for that.

Will be thrown out or reprimand at worst.

Malcolm Blight (of all people) argued a case for him. Said Kosi didn't have view of the ball when he slung him.

If Kosi gets suspended, the AFL may as well outlaw tackling.

FAIR DINKUM, we had some netball (not football) umpires out there tonight

Ball in the area...would be gobsmacked 1 if he goes up 2 if a half decent defence couldn't get him off.Watch the replay the ball there while Kosi tackles then unsighted. No Case to answer for sure!

Certainly deserved a free.
Didn't deserve a report.

But the tribunal is so bloody inconsistent who knows what will happen.

But I think it is better that he is going straight to the tribunal rather than go through the even less consistent Match Review Panel.

MRP will review it and throw it out, won't even go to the tribunal. Difference with milburn was he had him wrapped up and he wasn't close to having the ball. Kosi's was a sling rather than driving him into the ground. Free kick, nothing else.

So doesn't that mean it will go straight to the Tribunal ?

Or has that Anderson idiot changed the rules again ?

Pretty sure they can throw it out before going to the tribunal. Has happened a few times this year.

The difference there is that Milburn was aware that the ball had come out.

Obviouslty not aware that the ball had come out, from vision of the incident. If he gets cited at all, I'm gonna throw in the AFL and start supporting the netball...ridiculous report.

spot on - should've been paid the frees himself and understandably lost it a bit - just hope it doesn't cost him a week - would be very harsh but who knows? - the only constant with the tribunal is inconsistency!

he should get off imo. and even if it was intentional the umps in that small stretch seemed to have some kind of vendetta against him, one of his frees i couldnt even see what would even resemble a free in the replay, let alone something to be misinterpereted as one.

No they are the same as they have been for 3 years.

Plugger is correct.
The MRP review all incidents from the game, including any reports. They determine what the charge and penalty should be. In some cases they refer the insident directly to the Tribunal without offering a penalty.

is M Gardiner available in the highly unlikely event that Kosi is not available next week?

the difference between this one and milburns is the arms pinned bit, did kosi pin wakelins arms in the tackle, forcing the head to contact the ground? I would argue not, therefore it's not even the same thing... but I could be viewing it through my rose tinted glasses

If the Richmond tackle on Roo that damaged his shoulder was ok, then IMHO this one is even less 'dangerous' and should be thrown out.

We shall see around 5pm tomorrow when the MRP hands down its findings.

I can't see how he could be reprimanded if he has carry over points...

either guilty or innocent ...

Lets face it...

Kosi was rubbed out for a week for a jumper punch on Michael Osborne..

No one has ever been rubbed out for a jumper punch before...

Kosi will get a week IMO...
