Great first half Saints.
Been very impressed with the defence to date. Calm and handling Collingwood's forward entries well. Raph played agem of a first Q... attacked well and has taken many marks linking up well with Fish and co.
Harvey's 3 goal assists to Kosi and Roo in the first Q were vintage....great to see and geez he will be missed.
Thought Kosi was stiff more than once with those frees and am not surpised he lost his rag...reported for rough conduct...slung the guy to the ground but not sure if he'll go would like to see it again...
Forward line is operating well. We look cleaner and Milney's 2 goals have got him buzzing.
All in all..very pleasing signs...Keep it going Sainters.

watching here in Tas and the boys look to be playing well...
hats off to Clarke in the first quarter was good and has done some solid things down back since
Kosi started well but been undisciplined, don't think he has too much to worry about with the report, seemed like a fierce tackle, but with the MRP who flippin knows
Goddard been very good, as expected, and Dal getting plenty of the ball, shading Swan in a head to head contest
Reiwoldt kicking well, leading well and providing a great contest when he doesn't mark it.
CJ done a good job on Davis, kept him relatively quiet, but he is still a danger. Cloke has had 2 possessions and largely unsighted.
My 2 Cents worth...

I'm watching it on telly
We are generally playing well, taking our chances
Collingwood have really been rather lucky to be as close as they are. However, their midfield is probably just outperforming ours. If it wasn't, we would be miles ahead, because their defence can't handle our forward line
But I'm still a bit worried. The young Pies look chock full of running and we are one player down and a few others are a bit crook (Harvey, Blake in particular). There is a risk that they might run over the top of us in the second half. But their defence will presumably still be struggling
Dal, BJ, Raph, Riewoldt, Fisher, CJ (a few awful kicks, but a good job on Davis so far) have caught my eye. R Shaw, Lockyer, to some extent Swan, Anthony (how promising is this bloke?) Have caught my eye for the Pies

SEN just said that Allen won't come back on at all today. Means we are 1 player down for the rest of the game.
Not sure about Harvey... spent a lot of time on the bench in the 2nd quarter... only had 3 possessions in the second half after 7 really effective ones in the first quarter. He had set up 2 or 3 of Roo's goals in the first quarter.
Third quarter about to start.

Be hard to argue that case IMO unfortunately seemed that he would have had ample opportunity to see the ball come out.ausfatcat wrote:Kosi's hope is that he didn't see the Ball come out
On the game, absolutely stoked not leaving anything in the tank Roo running into packs with courage. Dal has been on fire, Raph Blake and Sam and S Fisher have been fantastic CARN THE SAINTS!!!!
Thats Mr. Smartarse to you

Roo is doing really well in terms of marking, and running all day, as usual. He's taken 10 marks.
Harvey kicks towards the goal... backspin, doesn't make the difference, Schneider GOALS!! From one metre out!
We have kicked the last 6 goals of the game! Go Sainters.
Score: 10.2. 62 to 4.13.37

Free kick to Medhurst, a bit suspect, but he only kicks a point.
They are 5.15. 45. We are 10.2. 62.
Free to Kosi, kicks to Roo in space in the forward pocket. Lines up... he had 3 in the first quarter... GOALS.
That's his fourth for the game.
11.2. 62 now.
