Down at Moorabbin.

Yes, I remember on wet days the ground used to smell like a sewerage farm.

Now the only thing that smells is the crap from the coach.

So are you suggesting the Saints are going to wait to the last minute??
No..I am just suggesting that his selection does not necessarily mean that he will play.

He may...or may not...

Would be very upset if it's a ruse.
what would be the point?
Do we need the intangible advantage of mind games? Why?
The named 22 should be the team we believe best able to win that week. And those named should be made very aware of it!

If ball is not ready don't name him, fullstop.
For now i'll keep faith with Lyon - he has earned the benefit of the doubt over these last months (still wish he could stir some emotion - kickstart the belief and bloodflow), and expect to see Ball play.

Still somewhat at a loss over Birss's contined exclusion, but 100% behind dropping charlie.

Excuse the curt prose - am using the Wii! (surfing during ads).

I must admit if Ball doesnt play you have to wonder was it worth the fuss?

However, what would be worse is IF he did play and limped off in the first.....

I spose as for the games....fair to say Malthouse has been playing them also....

St Fidelius wrote:Yep comedy capers at training IMO...

The Chanel 9 chopper was over Moorabbin and filmed Luke Ball only doing handball drills and once he spotted the chopper he left the ground whilst taking his number 14 jumper off...

The chopper remained and to find the number 14 re appearing and it what's believed to be a trainer wearing the number 14...

Bloody amateur performance for the admin in their first finals and an embarrassment IMO...

I agree with everton, with respect to poor selections during the season...

Birss for starters being the only player dropped in a 21 goal to 5 win is amazing...

OK St Fiddler... you had enough air-time without being pulled up mate.

You're a joke. Do you really support St Kilda? Are you sure? The way you carry on, give me a rest...

Have you given any thought as to WHY the Ch 9 chopper was over training? Hmm?

And why do you so swiftly and venomously blame St Kilda for this??

Did we order the chopper fella?

Was it, perhaps, just maybe, a symptom of the MEDIA that caused the circus today??

GOD STRIKE ME, St Fiddler you are prime candidate for #1 Degenerate Supporter.

Let's do a poll.

What do you have to say that is not a slice, not a crack, not words that divide? In what way do you actually support? When is your contribution anything but negative?

Fiddler, I feel for you (  ). But purely with Pity!!

You're such a vicious, diverted sad-sack - sympathy can only go so far. In the end, it's about respect - and Fiddle Boy, you're bile, you don't have it mate.

You need to learn not to place your opinions on here like they are fact. Please don't infect us with your poison in times when we need to read and feel the support of REAL CLUB PEOPLE!

IN SHORT -

F*** OFF ST FIDDLER!!!

PS -

FFS GET OVER BIRSS!!!

Looks like the closed sessions this week was not about Ball...but about Max and perhaps one or two others...

Magpie trio fit

AAP | September 12, 2008 01:34pm

COLLINGWOOD skipper Scott Burns, forward Travis Cloke and defender Simon Prestigiacomo are all set to play tomorrow night.

Burne, who has missed the past two games with a calf injury, moved freely at training today and will come into the side for Rhyce Shaw, who was dropped.

"A solid week of training is always a good sign and I've been pulling up pretty well," he said.

"So unless I wake up tomorrow walking on eggshells ... I will be playing.

"Everything has gone to plan, which is great."

Asked to put a percentage on his fitness ahead of the game, Burns replied: "Anything less than 100, I wouldn't even think about playing."

Prestigiacomo hurt his shoulder in last Saturday's elimination final over Adelaide, but he also trained today and Burns was hopeful he would be fit for the Saints.

"I'm not sure with `Presti', obviously he's trained pretty well," he said.

"I think he'll play ... we need him, he's a pretty important player in terms of that complete stopper.

"We want him to play, absolutely, and I don't see why he wouldn't be, he's trained well and he's certainly starting in the team this morning."

Burns then laughed off a rumour circulating around Melbourne this morning that key forward Travis Cloke has glandular fever.

Cloke had a light run today after being rested from Wednesday's training session.

Burns added last week's win would be a strong confidence boost for the Pies ahead of the Saints clash.

St Kilda are coming off a big qualifying-final loss to Geelong and went down to Collingwood twice this year in close matches.

"It's a good feeling - even during the minor round games, when you go away interstate and you get a good win, you're pretty buoyant for a week or two, that momentum can carry you," Burns said.

"We're confident that if we do everything right, we can get the result.

"But having said that, the last few times we have played them, there hasn't been too much in it ... we expect that again.

I don't think he even trained, except for some handball drills. I would doubt it very much.

I tipping that Birss will get the gig, and tag Swan
