Matchups
Assuming sides as selected ( i do not think Ball or Presti will play) here could be some matchups:
F:Milne, Kosi , Schnieder
B:O'Brien, Preti(Wakelin) Clarke
HF: Gwilt, Reiwoldt, Jones
HB: Goldsack, Brown, Maxwell
C: Mont, Hayes, Goddard
C: Cox, Burns, O'Bree
HB:Gram (tag on Leon), fisher, R Clarke
HF:Davis, Cloke, Anthony
B:Blake, Max, Gilbert
F: Dawes, Medhurst, Pendlebury
Foll: King, Ball( Birrs) , Dal
Foll: Fraser, Swan, Lockyer (tag Dal)
Int: Harvey, Armitage, Eddy, McQualter (Tag during first quarter if someone gets going early)
Int:McCartey, Bryan, Thomas, Cook
Look to exploit Davis lack of defensive side, and fisher to run off cloke. Pendelbry must be watched as Thomas when on with a hard tag as he drops off if not off to a flyer.
they will tag Dal and maybe head to head Swan and Hayes.
Look for Maxwell to be 3rd man up on Roo. Hope Prest pays as Kosi should be better for us than Wakelin who seems to have his measure.
Pressure, pressure pressure, win!

However after having said that....where we stuffed up last time against the Pies was that they pumped us in the midfield...and even Pies fans say that their team do not normally do that in most games.
We need to win the midfield...and so it is pleasing to see that we have gone witha more attacking midfield unit this week with Armo and Ball coming in.
Lets hope that Ball plays. we did not have him last time we played the Pies and we missed his influence in the packs greatly.

Well if Ball doesn't come up (I think likely not to), then Birss would come in you would think.
that's still a good thing as both he and Armo know how to go after and get the hard pill. Smash em hard and close at the stoppages and try and get the forwards to separate the defenders and we will go a long way to winning this game, especially if we can get good F50 pressure going.
locking the ball in our scoring zone is a will nullify their strongest weapon, their attacking run.

Firstly Bally has no hope of playing. Dal will get a tag and I doubt it will be Cook. Fisher isnt going to play FB and Rooy will be FF. Also reckon Wakelin will play instead of Presti.LTN16 wrote:This is how I think the teams will line up:

I've got an idea *coughs* that Nick Maxwell may go to Dal, given his success on the Cows Scott Thompson last week. Maxwell sometimes floats forward and maybe hoping to catch him off guard.plugger66 wrote:Firstly Bally has no hope of playing. Dal will get a tag and I doubt it will be Cook.
