put this way, he had talent but like the lion in the Wizard from oz, he had no heart.ralphysaints35 wrote:was cayden any good?
in fact, he really could have been anything, such a shame, such a waste of talent. i mean you see blokes like jack daniels who got every bit out of themselves through hard work and then more hard work, and then you see guys like beetham or barry brooks who have the talent but no work ethic, no heart and blow it.
the saddest thing is there are blokes out there who would give anything to have a crack at the bigtime and these two examples just couldn't have given a toss.

Just looking forward to us having a real crack each week, and appreciating the younger talent coming through.
beetham too was top 10, i think no 7 or 8 from memory.linz wrote:If only Brookes was still at our club. In our moment of need, he's gone. We've wasted a few top 10 picks haven't we? X,X2, Brookes, Kosi, or 10-20: Armitage, Mini.

I tell you who did have heart. Cayden's mum. She really gave it to you at Princes Park one day, didn't she?philip wrote:put this way, he had talent but like the lion in the Wizard from oz, he had no heart.ralphysaints35 wrote:was cayden any good?

Cayden didn't have the stomach for AFL. Didn't take criticism well. Didn't respond to strong arm tactics from the coach. Didn't like the coach. Personality clash.
In today's psychological testing, Cayden would never have been a top ten pick.

I miss Justin Plapp, any chance he will come up this week?
Mabey Matty Cappuano will come in with Rix to be our "twin towers" of the ruck

Now be fair, it wasn't his mum that objected, some male escort (he called himself a friend) that objected to my comments. when i told him to piss off he like Caydn put his tail between his legs and walked off without giving so much as a wimper. apparently having no heart was a trait of the beethams' and their friends.SENsaintsational wrote:I tell you who did have heart. harsh i know, but true and it was pretty bloody funny at the time. of course i've grown up a bit since then and would probably not make the comment in the first place and if i did, apologise to the bloke if he confronted me then, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The saddest thing is that we still appear to have similar players on our list.philip wrote:put this way, he had talent but like the lion in the Wizard from oz, he had no heart.ralphysaints35 wrote:was cayden any good?
