Where is the passion and fire within these players???
Just like the West Coast game we faultered and were extremely ordinary. We had so much to gain from today and we did not fire one bloody shot.
I don't know what is wrong with these guys. Seems to me they don't value the jumper with such a pathetic showing. Where is the passion in each other and the determination. The game was over within 10 minutes and we were playing Geelong in a final on a massive stage.
Hate to say it guys but that is it for this club for the next 5+ yaers atleast. Too many players pulling on the gurnsey that shoud not be playing at this level. Far too many.
Stinks.

What killed us today was our use of the ball not our passion.
We were actually pretty gppd at winning it in the contests.
You couldn't say we shirked it.
The difference was that when we won it we turned it over.
When they won it they delivered.
The heart was OK.
The skills and options were poor.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Obviously I am talking about the importance of the games not the teams themselves. Against West Coast we had just come off a great win agaisnt Hawthorn and then lose when we had momentum running into the business end of the season.
Against Geelong we had such a great chance to show the football world we had turned the corner and to really put pressure on the reigning Premiers................................What happens???
Just typical of our year really.

Pure a simple.
Today wasn't what this team is about. I'm sure the players & the coaching staff are more disappointed than we are.
A 100 pt thrashing was what we needed to get into the top 4 but in hindsight it probably wasn't the best preparation.

We were beaten by a very very good side. I think the boys tried their guts out, you would need everything to go right to beat Geelong. Hope we are up & about against the Pies.
If you can't give the commitment you gave this year and you don't want to improve, you can go because we have unfinished business-Ross Lyon
