Gday! welcome to our fan forum!
There's no doubt that the Geelong football club were worthy premiers in 2007. I don't begrudge you your time in the sun after 44 years of agony.
Over 22 rounds of the home-and-away season your team has been outstanding.
HOWEVER......as far as this Sainter is concerned, the above facts are now a part of history. Eight teams now start equal in the battle for the prize.
My team has shown over the last three weeks a new level of commitment and intensity to the challenges ahead. Our club, our team and its supporters are not going along to the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday merely to enjoy the catering.
We will go along to the game in a spirit of fairplay and sportsmanship
BUT KNOW THIS:
We are determined that our champion will end his career on a high note.
The "pundits and experts" give us no chance! and it may well be that you get through, BUT YOU WILL NEED YOUR BEST GAME!
The time for ringing up talkback radio (Brad from Eltham) to make wild boasts is long past.
The real stuff now begins: 22 against 22 with an army of supporters ready to back 'em all day!
We're ready! we're willing and we're able!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best regards
Dave (the jigging saint)

Mate, I have friends who follow the catters I'm not about to tell them to as you politely put it to "get F***d"
I'm up for this one. No quarter asked or given. But I dont have to jump into the gutter to support my club!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest we are going in spite of the catering.thejiggingsaint wrote:Our club, our team and its supporters are not going along to the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday merely to enjoy the catering.

St Bev! Can't blame you for a long memory! The very best form of "revenge" is on the scoreboard at the final siren on Sunday!

never bothers me what other opposition supporters say....
half of them are completely one eyed and arent fans of the afl just their clubs and are as one eyed as a cyclops with his asshole sewn shut...and know about 3 rules of footy and couldnt kick a cherry if they tried.
i have no prob taking any form of 'u suck, ya teams s***. loser, whatever' just like i have no prob dishing it out.

Perhaps not in those words, but I've spent the last week getting any Geelong supporting friends fired up.thejiggingsaint wrote: Mate, I have friends who follow the catters I'm not about to tell them to as you politely put it to "get F***d"

I'm not getting TOO far ahead of myself ..BUT if those sainters win I'm in to the nearest cuurryhouse for a high octane vindaloo washed down with liberal quaffs of lager. Then I'll ring the Jigging Mrs to put a loo roll or two in the fridge to wait upon my return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The more boastful bile the cats fans (and coach now) lay upon the team, the heavier the consequence of losing for the players. Keep laying it on catters - pride comes before the fall!
